lol no. Gibbs is a sound player who has turned it around in the last few years, he would be a sound get for most clubs dependent on price. the crows can afford him money wise and adds a bit to a position they need it in.... he's a good get. we're not in a position to laugh at their success and then ambition to go try find a few big guns to help take the next step, that would be a hypo-critic i would have thought. i don't want him due to pick cost but if he were a free agent i'd be all over him.
why not, they laughed at us

The Adelaide media outlets will be falling over themselves now. 5aa will have the entire show dedicated to how Gibbs is there missing piece. Then christ MMM should be great as well. Imagine the loonies coming in with there trade ideas.
One on trade radio was talking about Henderson being part of the trade.

Bloody hell, couldnt Gibbs just go to any other state, the media will cringworthy over this
Nice for the other team to be chasing their missing piece. We know what happened to us when we went chasing and getting our two big pieces - we regressed.

Looking forward to a longer term approach by us this trade period, with some clever money ball plays also

John Ralph @RalphyHeraldSun

Swans still offered Mitchell five years at just under 400K but a club like Hawks with cap room & need for inside mid was going to pounce.

Swans ranked Mitchell as the fifth Beatle & need cap room for Heeney, Mills. A conscious decision to lose one player, lowballed Mitchell.

Geez if Mitchell was being offered such a cheap deal we should have pounced!

More than happy for the Crows to pay dearly to finally get their only ever, technical, FS selection once he's in the twilight of his career.

I remember reading on here once that the Gibbs F/S situation got kiboshed by a Port BF poster who brought attention to a technicality in the rules. Is this right?

If, and it is an if, the Crows secure Gibbs they will have one of the oldest midfields going around. Thompson (34), Douglas (30), Sloane (27), MacKay (28), Gibbs (28) is really a now or never midfield.

Gibbs would straight up replace MacKay in their starting 22 wouldn't he? never mind, not that interested ;)

Yeah it was bad enough having to listen to it when Ryder was the missing piece, and then Dixon was the missing piece.

im happy for the crows to get gibbs as long as the pay with this years and next years first round draft picks.
The crows wouldn't do that. If they lose this years first and a player Lyons without getting a pick back in the top 35 or so they have overpaid.

Freo trying to get 4 players. McCarthy. Kersten. Hamlin. Hill.

Port asleep at the wheel?

We're trying to get Jake Barrett, Nathan Vardy, Will Minson, David Sierakowski, David Mellington & Jonathan Yerbury

Hill and McCarthy have nominated Freo as their preferred club, and Kersten will pretty much do the same thing in the next couple of days as well.

Always going to be more activity when this is the case.

Carey was another.

Ford Fairlane might be able to answer that. ;)

And Bucks. The modern game is fast paced. GWS WB and look how the swans finished the GF...outta legs.
If the crers get Gibbs then they and C'wood are barking up the wrong tree.
Imo the neighbours are as far away as most for a flag. The comp are latching on to Pyke's gameplan
they're unlikely to have such a dream run with injuries again, a tough draw coming their way as well.
Gibbs will help them but is not their messiah.
When have they ever had a hard draw, this year was their hardest draw for a while!
