I just think we all need to take a step back, and look at how the trade period plays out as a whole before we go loco.

This is not a one and done trade. Some shuffling and re-jigging to come.
The problem with the way our club has been for the last 2 years we all know this is exactly the sort of stupid shit we would do

That is very true, I'm starting to suspect we are trying to get ourselves 5 picks inside 30, or something similar.

There is no outcome that allows us to lay off against PAFC failure as well as Port keeping its 2017 first rounder

Bring back the hypno-Rohde, if only for the drama of him throwing manilla folders at everyone and storming out at the mere possibility of being bent over in a deal like this.

It's completely pointless. Like why are we even involved? Why are we helping two rival clubs facilitate a trade and then coming out worse on top? There is literally no scenario that plays out in our favour as a result of this.

Sure does put alot of pressure on nailing the picks in the draft.. from the men that brought us Harvey n' Shaw post pick 20 I have zero confidence
Sure does put a lot of pressure on the whole club to perform in 2017, otherwise we've just burnt our best pick since Wingard on 19 and 30.

Plus 67, you know just to put a cherry on top of this shit sundae.

Should be fun next year.

Average season - possibly. And a pick in the 30's to look forward to at the end of the year unless we have lost a couple of young guns because they are now fed up with the averageness that has engulfed this Club of late.

I wonder if the club appreciate the off field disaster it will be if we have a shit year next year and no prospect of even getting an elite player for our trouble
Exactly this.

Worst part is, if it all goes to shit, the people responsible for ******* us over would already have been sacked. We won't be able to sack them a second time.

Ken definitely wouldn't care, he's already been told by Koch & co that if we miss finals next year he's getting the ass.

This moves reeks of trying to rectify our over trading away of draft currency in recent years by continuing to use future picks, it's like the deadbeat guy at a casino continuing to play with credit when he's already $10k in debt & knows he's about to have his legs broken.

Certainly smells of "all in" by everyone at the club. If this fails, they will all have to fall on their sword.
