Thought it might be helpful to keep track of this. It's the most objective method we have for insights into how the coaches are viewing the performances of our players. It's also a handy guide to how the B&F votes are likely to pan out in September/October.

ADELAIDE v GEELONG
10 Cam Guthrie (Geel)
8 Steven Motlop (Geel)
4 Patrick Dangerfield (Geel)
4 Rory Sloane (Adel)
3 Harry Taylor (Geel)
1 Corey Enright (Geel)
Fully deserved 10 for Guthrie, he was outstanding - absolutely killed us.

You're taking the piss, right?

Well... what Oprah knows for sure, is that Talia's 1 must be one coach awarding him one vote. That means Smith's 2 and Atkins' 2 can only be the 2 votes from each coach since neither can be two single votes. That leaves a 1, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5. To get 9, Betts got a 5 and a 4. So now we're down to 1, 3, 3, 4, 5. That means Walker got his 8 with a 5 and 3, not two 4s, so now it's 1, 3, 4. The only part we can't deduce is how Cameron got his 4 - was it a 1 and 3, or a 4 by itself?

therefore, the only part of Smalex's post where he says "You're taking the piss, right?" must be that one of the two coaches gave Kelly a 4. I would agree, one of the coaches, probably Cameron, is taking the piss, given his side despite the final quarter comeback and only-22-point margin weren't really in the match (although AFL player ratings say it was Kelly's best ever game and he was 2nd best on ground).

Sloane up to 4th overall, he is also a fair chance for the Brownlow and in All Australian form.

Voting something like

Pyke:

Sloane 5
Jenkins 4
Crouch 3
Walker 2
Lever 1

Richo:

Crouch 5
Jenkins 4
Laird 3
Sloane 2
Smith 1

Sloane having a ripper season

The breakdown this week:

10 – Rory Sloane (Adelaide)
8 – Eddie Betts (Adelaide)
4 – Rory Laird (Adelaide)
3 – Tom Lynch (Adelaide)
3 – Matt Priddis (West Coast)
2 – Sam Jacobs (Adelaide)

Sloane: 10 = 5+5
Betts: 8 = 4+4
Laird: 4 = 3+1 or 2+2
Lynch: 3 = 2+1 or 3+0
Priddis: 3 = 3+0 or 2+1
Jacobs: 2 = 2 or 1 + 1

**Updated thanks to Elder van Berlo**

With Sloane and Betts getting the 5's and the 4's, the breakdown for the last 3 spots was either:

Option 1

3: Lynch
2: Laird
1: Jacobs

3: Priddis
2: Laird
1: Jacobs

Option 2

3: Laird
2: Jacobs
1: Lynch

3: Priddis
2: Lynch
1: Laird

Option 3

3: Laird
2: Jacobs
1: Priddis

3: Lynch
2: Priddis
1: Laird

Lynch: 3 = 2+1 or 3+0
Priddis: 3 = 3+0 or 2+1
Jacobs: 2 = 2

Surely Pyke didn't give Priddis a vote? Assuming that's true, the votes would have looked like this:

Pyke

Sloane
Betts
Laird
Jacobs
Lynch

Simpson

Sloane
Betts
Priddis
Lynch
Laird
Could've been Laird: 2+2, Lynch and Priddis: 3+0, Jacobs: 1+1
