It’s over! Another 3 from Merrett sees him comprehensively take out the league B&F medal ahead of favourite Patrick Dangerfield by 5 votes! An amazing season by the Melbourne midfielder sees him crowned as the youngest ever winner of the AFLTM League Best and Fairest. Rockliff’s three votes is enough to tie with Dangerfield in 2nd place while Gawn and Steven’s 2 votes in the final round sees them tie for fourth on 18 votes. This count has been all about Zach Merrett though. What a performance, what a season and what a player he is and at just 20 years of age he still has enormous room for growth!
