He struggled through the 2nd round as well against a much lower ranked player. As long as he keeps winning. Saville had a nice win over to get to the quarters in China as well. Don't rate him too highly but that's a greatwin.

I'm sad. I needed to Google 'Ash Australia tennis' because I didn't remember my own post but now I know who you mean.

edit: Some bloke named Matthew Barton won a match in Croatia. 22yo, just missed out on cracking the top 200 so far. Has dropped into the 400s since.

edit: Jordan Thompson joins him.

They ended up playing each other. Thompson won. To be expected, probably.

Double G's reach the South Korean doubles final. Need J-P Smith to join to guarantee an Aussie winner but he has a semi to win.
Double G's won in three.

Tomic's results continue to get worse. Couldn't win a qually in a non-slam event.

I wondered why they weren't playing dubs this week, might be why. Hopefully nothing too serious, not really too fussed about RG qualies, more about the grass season which needs to be big for him.

Kokkianakis wins a 3 hour battle against Krawietz 6-7(3) 7-6(4) 7-6(4) in the first round of qualifying in Helibronn.
Wins his first proper round in two sets. Solid 200 places worse than his opponent so it's a great win.

Makes up for Duckie's loss in straights.

Kokkinakis with a 6-2 6-1 demolation of Michael Russell. He will play Ilhan in the quarterfinals. That would wrap up the RG QWC you would think.
Beats Ilhan in three.

Barton's able to back up his singles run with a solid doubles campaign alongside Thompson.
