Wins his Semi, plays number 5 seed and world number 105 Steve Darcis in the final.

A bonus is he got into the French Challenger for the upcoming week as a special exempt as he has missed the start of qualifying.

In spite of the loss to Darcis in the final it's been a helluva week for Alex :thumbsu:

Surely he gets wildcard if needed for Brisbane and even Sydney. I think he managed his tournaments well in 2016 playing the main tour but still playing a few Challengers.

You'd think so, especially Brissy where he is a local. But they didn't give him one last year so who knows. Agree re his tournaments. Given a few injury issues he's done well to maintain his ranking, and as he said, get more exposure to ATP tournaments. Coaching changes may be to his advantage too, he seems like the type who would be willing to take onboard new ideas.

He is going to have a tough time maintaining that ranking with the points to defend early on but it has been a great year for Johnny. His limited serve is going to always stop him from getting higher

Looks like John will be at Brisbane...

ANNOUNCEMENT: Millman is coming to #BrisbaneTennis 2017 with fellow Queenslanders #Stosur and #Tomic

Edit: This is a tweet from Brisbane International but not sure exactly how to copy and paste using my phone

Groth loses in the second round at Knoxville.

Duckworth is through to the quarter finals in Kobe. His half of the draw has really opened up.

De Minaur keeps up his form and beats the world number 99 and is through to the quarter finals in the Mouilleron Le Captive Challenger. I guess that qualifies for his first top 100 win.

Duckworth and Saville are through to the Semi finals of the Toyota Challenger. If Duckworth wins the title he might sneak inside the AO cutoff but if not I think he has locked in a Wildcard the last month.

He has played so much tennis (12 games in 18 days) with potentially two more to come I hope they don't make him play the playoff in a few weeks.
