Whincup with a 5.2, just shading Fabs and Mosert. The Fords look good in quali trim but the race pace might be slightly off.

It has made things so much better for those of us who have it.

I'm still against the exclusivity but its been great for pay tv viewers.

CL in 06, goes down as one of the most emotional things I've witnessed in sport.

Every year something pops up really. Chaz and The Dude in 14, Frosty breaking the duck the year before. Brock leading in 97, Murphys outstanding lap in 03 when the whole pitlane stood up for him.

The list goes on.

My favourite Bathurst 1000 memory is the late Peter Brock's extraordinary 6-lap win in 1979. And not only did Brock won by that margin, he even smashed the race time record on his final lap. Also Greg Murphy's 'Lap of the Gods' in 2003 was very good too.

Co-drivers into the 2m5s. LeBroq, Youlden, Dumbrell, Canto. Dalberto, Premat, Owen and Mac Jones all fast too.

This is gonna be one quick Sunday.

And the weather forecast for Sunday (Raceday) at Mount Panorama is a mostly fine day with a top of 21 degrees. Which means that we could see the lap record go by the wayside in the Great Race.

Won't happen, they'll always be a late safety car for "debris" or something. Happens every year
Phantom debris cautions don't happen in V8Supercars. Debris cautions for very small amounts of debris?, yes that does happen, but not for nothing. Besides, the last couple of years have had late race cautions due to accidents. Last year with Pye having one with 20 or so laps, and the year before was full of late race accidents.
