We've had some marvelous melts this year so I'm expecting a strong field. Please list your nominations here, and after we've collected a sufficient quantity I'll put up the poll.
Nomination #1
I'll start with the obvious, Plugger35's Doggies GF umpiring melt made up for what it lacked in over-the-top hysteria with a remarkable longevity that propelled it for weeks on end. In fact the only reason it petered out was a lack of Doggies posters willing to bother keeping up their side of the argument, such is Plugger's bottomless well of manufactured disdain for the game's match officials & deeply held belief in a shadowy conspiracy responsible for St.Kilda's history of ineptitude.

Another melt that stood out was Nakia's which occurred after Geelong lost one of the H&A games everyone expected them to win (vs Collingwood or Carlton I think?) in which he not only created a Bay13 thread labeling the entire Cats team peahearts, but also gave us a rant about the AFL being corrupt (tell us something we don't know Stabby!) and also threatened to walk away from following football altogether. I believe it was around this time he asked the mods to cancel his account... but in typical fashion later changed his mind about it, presumably after Geelong had strung a few wins together. I'm not the only person who's noticed his outrage at AFL corruption tends to wax & wane in direct proportion with the Cats' ladder position.
