If our younger players develop to there best, IMO we still need a CHB, FF and another bull inside mid. That team has a lot run.

No room for old man Byrne in that team?

Oh, I see.
Yes, Byrne definitely ought to be in it.

I see the future side as having as of 2016 an age cut off of 27.
So Gibbs and Everitt make the cut as they are 27 for most of this year, which means in the fourth year of Bolton's rebuild these two will be 30.
Wright then also makes the cut.

I actually think we will be OK in a few years, because most of our list already bis made up of those under 27.
We need to bottom out as we have to get high picks (star quality).
Over-achieving with the Morrell, Teague era was a foolish strategy.

B Tuohy, Weitering, Plowman
HB Docherty, Jaksch, Byrne
C Boekhorst, Cripps, Cuningham
FOLL Kreuzer, Gibbs, Kerridge
HF Graham, C.Curnow, Silvagni
F McKay, Casboult, Wright
INT from E.Curnow, Phillips, Gorringe, Sheehan, Lamb, Sumner, Smith, Dick, Buckley, Pick 1 2016, Pick 2 2017, Pick 5 2018, etc.

I left out our rookies but I'm hoping Byrne, Gallucci and more importantly Glass-McCasker become top AFL players

Byrne is a rookie that has signed a 2 year contract suggesting he'll be a nom. rookie this year and a senior player, the next.

Call me optimistic but I have a feeling Glass-Mckasker will come off the rookie list and make an impact just like Jamo did.

From what we saw of Weitering last game, I don't see much point in playing him in the vfl. I just hope we take it easy with him this year and give Him plenty of rests (maybe like 6 games off), such a big step up from TAC, don't want to burn the kid.
I'm going to go on a limb and say weitering is best 22 at all clubs.
But as you said should be limited to 15 odd games.
Rest him Round 1 then let him at it.

Yep 2017... witch is good. Kicked 50 goals last year I wonder if he will play as an underage this year?
I thought it was 2018..
Played under 15's in 2015 and will be eligible when playing under 18's in 2018..

This team assumes all the players are available and fully fit!

Buckley is the toughest one to get a handle on I reckon. I don't see a regular position for him down back, so I'd be starting him forward. He's been around long enough to deserve first crack at consolidating a position, but if I was him I'd be looking over my shoulder for Gallucci.

B: Simpson Jamison Plowman
HB: Tuohy Weitering Docherty
C: Boeky Cripps Thomas
F: Kreuz Gibbs Murph
HF: Kerridge Jaksch Everitt
F: Walker Casboult Buckley

Int: Byrne, Phillips, Graham, Curnow

When Jaksch is playing CHF I'd be getting him up the ground taking marks through the centre and out on the wings. When Kreuz changes with Jaksch in the forward line he just needs to stand there an clunk 'em.

My approach - take the NAB Challenge Rd 3 squad, add Murphy (injury) and Jaksch (illness), then work out who we cut from the list of 28:
1 Andrew Walker, 3 Marc Murphy, 4 Bryce Gibbs, 6 Kade Simpson (C), 7 Dylan Buckley, 8 Matthew Kreuzer, 9 Patrick Cripps, 11 Sam Kerridge, 12 Blaine Boekhorst, 13 Jed Lamb, 15 Sam Docherty, 17 Sam Rowe, 18 Kristian Jaksch, 22 Jason Tutt, 23 Jacob Weitering, 24 Mark Whiley, 30 Charlie Curnow, 32 Nick Graham, 33 Andrejs Everitt, 34 Andrew Phillips, 35 Ed Curnow, 37 Daniel Gorringe, 38 Ciaran Byrne, 39 Dale Thomas, 40 Michael Jamison, 41 Levi Casboult, 42 Zach Tuohy, 43 Simon White, 46 Matthew Wright

Ive bolded my locks for best 22 - 15 players in total - need 7 more:
Lamb v Wright - going to go with youth here, but we may opt for experience
Gorringe v Phillips - I think phillips is the better pick to give Kruezer more time up forward
White v Rowe v Weitering - 2 from this grouping - Weitering for the development, and Rowe fore the gorillas. If we play a more mobile line, we could go with White
Tutt v Whiley v Boekhorst - whiley is in odd company here, but I think this player will be the last choice for the midfield selection Cripps and Graham give us the gruntwork, and the squad lacks class - so Boekhorst is my selection here
Buckley v Byrne - I really like Byrne, but his first two preseason games have been lackluster....buckley gets the nod ahead of him, and if he proves himself, perhaps buckley could go forward
C.Curnow v Jaksch - Thinking for the full year I'm giving this spot to Jaksch (as a forward) while Charlie develops, if its not Jaksch, i;d also expect to see Liam Jones given a crack in this spot.

The lineup:
Weitering Jamison Tuohy
Simpson Rowe Docherty
Boekhorst E.Curnow Gibbs
Kruezer Cripps Murphy
Kerridge Casboult Thomas
Walker Everitt Lamb

Phillips Graham Buckley Jaksch

Would be awesome if he can become an excellent contributor for us! We need some of our lower picks / rookie selections to make it if we want to be challengers again.

Would be more than surprised should Jaksch line up round 1.
