Does navy, red and gold really clash that much with royal blue, red and white? Would be pretty easy to tell who is who even in our home jumper.

Especially considering the blue on our clash is more royal, and more white would clash more with the Bulldogs. But who needs logic?

I was really surprised when we played west cost they wore their royal blue with gold wings as the away team against us. Both teams had white numbers too. So based on that precedent there is no reason we shouldn't be able to wear our home top as the WB colours is very similar.

wasn't an issue from 1991-2010. we wore our home strip and white shorts away when we played the dogs. no issues at all. it wasn't until the 2010 season when we started wearing the ugly white clash strips. before that we had some cool away strips

It's games like this which mean we had to get decent clash jumpers. The claw guernsey we'll be wearing on Saturday is acceptable, but I will be far prouder watching my team playing a final in a classy guernsey like the gold or white one.

The AFL has obviously decided that, final or no final, clash or no clash, a non-Victorian club will be made to wear its clash guernsey when playing away (e.g. Fremantle at the 2013 Grand Final). We might as well have a decent clash strip if that's the way it's going to be. Yet I still think we don't wear our great home guernsey often enough.

I think the AFL's policy basically is if your willing to have a white guernsey and your not one of the traditional Vic teams you have to wear it.

Some of the combinations that get approved clash far more than some of the so called clashes where we wear our white one.

You would think that if West Coast can wear a full royal blue jumper against us 2 weeks ago, we could wear our home jumper against the Bulldogs royal blue jumper this week with far less of a clash than any of the above.

I get a feeling we won't even be seeing the yellow bought out more than a few times next year.

I struggled to tell the difference once or twice that day. I don't think the early timeslot sun glare helped either.

Brodie Smith kicked one out of D50 directly to an eagle on the wing. It wasn't a shank, it was a pinpoint pass to someone he thought was a crow.

i actually found it hard at times too. I think it both teams didn't have white numbers it wouldn't have been as bad though

Without putting much though into this, you would think the criteria for a genuine away/clash jumper would be that its light enough that dark coloured numbers are appropriate.

I can't believe we've finally got a kit were excited about. Is this what supporting a club is supposed to feel like??
