TBH if Bennell and Fyfe had been available at the same time DP would have had trouble keeping his position in the team but that's history ,This season places in the best 22 is going to be very competitive.

So what now for Barlow and Silvagni? Silvagni surely gets squeezed out with A Pearce and Johnson coming back and Hamling added into the mix.

As for Zak Clarke, he seems to have survived and will continue his "development".

Not a bad squad breakdown to be honest. Few of the players in the 1986-1988 group are critical, so our biggest concerns for the next 5 or 6 years will be hoping we can replace Sandi, Mundy and Johnson. After that, our next age crisis will be when the likes of S Hill, Walters, Fyfe and Suban hit their 30s in a few years.

The sooner this board accepts that Suban will be a 200 game player for us, the less pain we'll go through. :D

When have we ever successfully predicted Freo's draftees? I think last year we had a guessing game thread, and absolutely nobody got a correct guess.
Even the year we had the #3 pick where we got Hill - everyone was positive that we'd pick Rich.

We won't get English, we won't get SPS, we won't get Logue....we'll get some random Tasmanians/South Australians.
