The year before Fyfe is a free agent might mean we try and run at 95% of the cap, allowing us to spend 105% the year after. Which is about $500,000 extra that we can front load on top without breaking the rules.

We have a lot more cap space.
We have front loaded contracts for years. We had enough money to bring in a power forward or back for years. We had enough money for Hogan which would have a least $1m per year.

North Melbourne, but they kept Goldy.
Richmond lost Vickery, but they signed Sydney ruckmen.
The only others ones are Collingwood (who also signed 2 so it would have no effect) and us.

Clubs are still announcing their signings. Dennis Armfield just signed on in news that will rock the footballing world. Clarke will be announced soon.

Every club that re-signs spud this week makes me think that that's another club that isn't picking up Barlow
