If that is in fact the equation, Mitch might wanna hope that Schofield gets injured. Couldn't play Brown over Schofield IMO.
Yep.
Schofield was always on the verge and a bit lost as a running defender who wasn't accountable enough.
This year he had to be our main lock down key back. Broke out big time.

Brown can take the smaller guys like walters, bruest etc. Will fight for his spot though.

What's the G-O with Tom McDonald are they going to keep him down back full time? His stints forward brought down his average somewhat, could be a decent pickup.
At 517k, better options for mine.

Rance, laird, Kk, jimmy for me at the moment.

Had Heath Shaw in my initial squad, not so sure now.

3yr ave - 101.4
4yr ave - 101.4
5yr ave - 101.3

Priced at 112, same as my view on Goldy - looking at him as overpriced & not willing to risk initially.

Why KK? He had a lot of subpar scores last year.

Only when I had him. Once I flicked him he came good! :drunk:

It's early days, but at the moment I'm not too keen on many others around that range. I'm sure there will be some (hopefully cheaper) options come out of the woodwork who will sway me. But early doors he looks like a good option to me. Good user, hopefully has the job of releasing Te ball from defence in a better gcs team this year.

Anyone going Birchall?

Its a tough one, he averaged 86 this year, and 92 in 2013 when Suckling did his knee so there could be more points up for grabs for sure.

On the other hand I think with Suckling gone and Hodge/Mitchell further upfield, he might actually get more defensive forward attention.

FWIW I've got a gut feeling Gibson might be the better option again

Bartel averaged 95.8 last season if you take out his Q1 sub score of 5.

Also has a career ave of 105.2.
I've got no doubts on his ability to score, I just question how Scott will use him/how many games he will miss. I don't trust Chris Scott one bit.

While its true his roll seems to change every season it doesnt seem to have impacted his scoring to any major degree.

As for his durability both Bartell + Birchall have both averaged almost identical amount of games p/s since 2007 a tick under 20 each.

EDIT Its also worth noting that Bartell has DPP whilst Birchall does not.

any love for Rich as a mid/def at 436,100.

Has averaged 90 in the past and 80 seems about his basement so I dont see him dropping in price.

Really needs to be more consistent and work a lot harder especially when someone is paying him close attention.

25yo so possibly some improvement in him but you really need him to average 90 min to make the pick worthwhile. DPP is handy.

I think the 2016 version of Bartel will be the 2015 version of Dane Swan. Lock.
