Any thoughts on a Seedsman or Suckling having a big season at their new clubs?
In the last 4 years playing for Hawthorn, who made every grand final in that period, Suckling never had a SC average higher than 83. He did have a 91 ave. season way back in 2011 though.

Even if he is given a role at the Bulldogs that suits him perfectly from a SC perspective, I just can't see him getting to a 90+ average.

Thats a shame, trying to think a little outside the box. Cheers for the reply

That's 6 guys not 5. Weird how the Doggies website removed the bit about Roughead...
Yeah in the press conference he isn't counting Goetz as an option.
But your point is relevant, I wouldn't be surprised to see different first rucks depending on who we play (eg Minson plays against the Mummy and Jacobs types, Roughy the more mobile types).

^^
Birchall is good for a 89-95 average. Last year was a down year (86 isn't all that bad anyway) because he had no preseason due to a knee injury.
Pretty damn keen on the Birch!

Hey guys just a quick question Brodie Smith or Christian Salem?
And......
Luke Dalhaus or Dayne Zorko?
Hey mate, 1st post, welcome aboard! :)

I don't like either Smith or Salem, but I'd go Salem if I had to choose. I think all Smith will give you is a big headache and a ~80 average

Dahlhaus for me, Zorko has a history of starting slow and with a fit stacked Lions midfield, I think he'll spend more time forward at the start of the season

ps. use this thread for 'player X vs player Y' questions ;)

I'm really wanting to pick up Jason Johannisen ($418,200) this year. Just a feeling he will breakout this year and improve his average a lot. Usually go with my gut feeling on player but not sure if its that or just my Bulldog goggles.

Thoughts??

Always back your gut with decisions. Imo I don't think he will score 90+ consistently enough and thus not not matching the scoring of the top averaging defenders.

I like Wood over anyother Doggies player in the backline. He could improve by 10ppg.

Thanks for the advice......ok maybe not smith or salem but who though or should i just watch NAB cup. Also i thought the same with zorko he has burnt me many times in the past but i thought u know being more mature and the lions maybe being on the up he might be more consistent? I dunno and unsure if i will risk it again. I will post my team on the rate my ream thread for u guys to rate it, i have been playin supercoach for a long time so i will even try help others out.

They played him off the wing last night, if he can average an extra 4-6 possies a game it could make him SC relevant, but agree that's it's probably too big a risk.

From that lot it would be between Doc and Roberton for mine. I would personally go for Roberton.
I just do not know who to select. Not sure if mackie will have a place in the side. DOnt think gibson wll be good this year especially if he has o play more key position
