I know some names are tricky, but c'mon, it's Noble.

I'm sure Ainsworth will be a worthy pick if we select him although I'm predicting he could require some pretty careful management.

I really have no idea of other team needs. Does anyway see a team between our pick 16 and our pick 21 who has a need for a HBF?

Just wondering if an Ainsworth, Simpkin, Witherden draft combo is a possibility, if Berry is gone at 16.

Getting on board with the whole Vic Country team idea.

Yep true, I would be all good if I broke my arm on an overseas camp with the best talent/competition with prospective recruiters, no worries at all.

This is ridiculous lol

Difference between being being disappointed and being negative to the point where it's affecting everyone around you. Would wanna learn to deal with things not going your way a bit better than that if he's going to be drafted here.

That was more or less my initial thought, but we need to remember, he's just a kid. Plenty of time for him to get his head around the realities of life & football.

Didn't really like Ainsworth's attitude reading that article.

Sounds like he gets a bit sooky when things aren't going his way.

Really? Glass half full,it sounded like a kid who takes criticism on board.

You'd be pretty hard-pressed to find a kid who doesn't get a bit down on themselves when they get injured.

He had a fantastic last half of the year.
Took the criticism on the chin and turned it into a motivating factor to better himself.
I'd say exactly the type of kid we need here at the lions.
He was touted as the possible, even likely number 1 pick after last year's performances.
Had a bad start to this year and fell in the draft order to be a likely top 10 selection.
Finished the year very strongly and now a likely top 3 selection. Fought his way back well, and if he is happy to come to the lions then i would love to have him at Schache and Hippy's feet.

Speaking as a high school teacher, 99 percent of 17 year olds just aren't fully formed mentally yet. Ainsworth will be fine.

As already stated, he's still only a young man who will learn over time.

We know that he demands the highest from himself, and his severe disappointment to setbacks highlights this. He clearly has the fire in the belly. He just needs to learn to channel it in the right way, and without negative impact on those around him.

Better to have this as a starting point, compared to someone who is very timid and unsure of themselves, or happy to just go through the motions.

So much space, so much angst on a guy we have not even drafted. Woe be on Conole and Schwabby if Ainsworth is available and we take another because our recruiters rate them as a better prospect.

It'll be fire, brimstone and pitchforks outside the Gabba if that happens.

if we don't take who ever is left out of Ainsworth/McCluggage/McGrath at 3 the only others in contention would be Taranto and Brodie you would think. i would be very surprised if we did that although i would be very happy with either if Schwab and co decide to go down that path, they would have a better idea of what we need than us humble hobby phantom drafters on BF.

Do we want someone who is probably a bit introverted and just happy to be here on a good young list or do we want someone who's got a bit of spunk and confidence about him who gets the crowd excited every time he gets near it? Easy call for mine if Ainsworth is still there.
