His style,or work rate doesn't bear any resemblance to Black ! He was not injured in that game, and he capitulated.Like the rest of the W.A team, should be carefully scrutinised. Lots of players have x factors, and they are usually no more than potential unfulfilled . There were several outstanding midfielders on show in that game and in the TAC cup final, and deservedly they have moved up the rankings.[/QUOTE]
I never said he was Simon Black. I said if it is true ,his favourite player was Simon it would be nice for him to wear his number. Over the length of his career whenever that may be or end, (that is entirely up to SPS's determination to achieve at the highest level) ,only then we can sit back in judgement and say whether or not we saw a champion or a wasted talent. The point I am making a lot of young kids wear their favourite player's number on the back of their lions jumper ,so why can't we celebrate and embrace a young kids dream to wear the number of a footy player he idolises. To me ,that's how we honour our club ,the player who wore the number, the young supporter who grows up to eventually play for the club and has the ability to instil the unique and rare privilege of what wearing that jumper means. It's just not a jumper ,it's a constant reminder to all lions fans ,no matter who they are or what they do ,that this club is extremely special, that it is blessed with a rich history and that it is beloved by all who support it.To wear the lions jumper is an absolute honour, let's build a special bond between it ,the player and the supporter who cherishes it.Put simply ,the lions jumper unites us all behind one common goal, success of a tremendous club.
