I've got them the other way around. I'd rather have Witherden free to run off an opponent on half back and have Berry fighting for the footy in the midfield.

Could very well go that way. hard to tell yet. will be interesting to see where they play and where the club sees them playing.

From the noise coming out of the club, seems that's what they think. Most of the club media I read refers to Berry as a midfielder.

I think back line spots will be pretty open, would be nice to get some good users with composure down there and some genuine pace

I wonder if Cutler could also be groomed as a midfielder later on? Not sure on his ball winning ability but I don't think he is any good at it though which is a problem... Could he be the Hanley we needed in the midfield? I'm not a huge fan of him playing off the HBF TBH as I think he has some defensive positioning problems and his disposal is rather poor with a lot of long bombs to packs kind of thing going on when under pressure... would rather he play forward of centre where he looks dangerous anywhere within 75m of goals.

Looks pretty good. A lot of mobility in the talls (seems to be the 'in' thing) to allow for team defence and 3rd man ups and great skills coming off the backline here. Lockdown in Harwood to round it off if needed. Gardiner and Skinner as depth for talls and Cutler and Mayes play forward of centre.

Yeah, my view is formed mostly from video highlights and descriptions so hardly informed.

Suffice to say, the suggestion that we drafted a bunch of back flankers is pretty unimaginative.

Mmm not sure. I have a feeling Berry and Witherden will be a little more Matho like once they settle in.

The last few days have been very good, we did seem to be a bit behind the other clubs though in terms of initial coverage over the weekend. Could of been for perfectly legitimate reasons though such as the draftees actually needing to pack their bags!

I dont know whether it is just me, but i do get the impression that this years group of draftees genuinely all seem really happy to be here. It is a nice feeling.

they did the same thing last year and the same venue and host, can not recall what was done pre the Lamberts.
