Pickett and SPS will liven things up in the midfield for Carlton we will have an impenetrable rebounding backline...beginnings of a genuine scary side being put together with the big boy Mcreadie being added as well..

I'm thinking we scrored a steal in Rhys Palmer. Injured then played out of position.
Would love to see him be the surprise all in 2017.

Can't believe I am still ******* watching this. Justin Beiber now playing, surely the last slow dance for the night will be Berlin Take My Breath Away!

It's just not possible to take 4-5 great mids in a draft.
Unless you have four picks in the top 10 like the Suns.

You take the players you think are going to make it at the top level.

And you ant have too many good talls because we now know that they are gold in trade currency.

From our phantom, these guys are still on the board:

Scharenberg, Sproule, Duman, Junker, Maibaum, Morrison, Guelfi, Brayshaw, Zurhaar, Garthwaite, McCarthy, Jarman, LeBois

and there goes Garthwaite

Was kinda hoping we'd pick him up with one of our later picks.

A potentially outstanding draft for Carlton.

Pick 6 - Sam Petrevski-Seton - best available.

Pick 27 - Zac Fisher - a bit of a stretch but wouldn't have lasted to 47

Pick 47 - Harrison Macreadie - an absolute steal. Some had him going as early as mid-first round in the run up to the draft. So this more than makes up for the potential stretch for Fisher

Pick 59 - Cameron Polson - a small forward which we need a high quality one. This is about the point in the draft where some outstanding (small forward) picks have been made.

Pick 61 - Tom Williamson - An athlete who has good football skills. Tested exceptionally which is good.

Pick 65 - Pat Kerr - I think we're all delighted with this selection.

Maibaum was pick 45.

The other one was Def Leppard Love Bites...

Really happy with our haul. The only pick I'm unsure about is Polson.

Macreadie where we did is unbelievable. This guy literally gives us he best backline tall potential in the AFL.

Williamson is not only an athlete, but has a LETHAL left foot! He is also still 17 and the youngest guy in the draft. Awesome get. This guy could be running off a wing or half back for years to come.

And to finish off our draft with a romantic pick in Kerr, perfect.

Awesome draft. SOS has done it again.

2 years in a row I've been happy.

It's starting to make up for the Lucas, Bootsma, Boekhorst (whom I think will make it!) shocks that sent chills down my time.

Don't really know what to make of this.

We have the thinnest midfield in the league and all seem smallish bar Cripps and Gibbs.

It is a heavily mid oriented draft.

We take:

1 x medium mid
1 x small mid
1 x tall DEF
1 x small FWD
1 x medium DEF
1 x medium FWD

I expected us to walk away tonight with 4-5 great mids including 2 bulls.

This is not at all what I expected.

I hope this is not a giant screw up!!
Don't worry about the size. Can they get their own ball, can they spread, can they use it? Most experts rave about Fisher. All players can kick the ball well. Most mid's aren't full of big mid's but quick decision makers that can get their own ball.
