Not sure how we can finish bottom two when Brisbane, Carlton & Essendon are a lock to finish below us.

Not a lock but I agree.

We will have a top 5 pick I reckon. Which is good. Considering we need a bonafide midfielder who has leadership skills, who you got here?

Given our need for size strength and ball winning ability in the middle of the ground some names I'm interested in at this stage are:

Will Brodie 187cm 82kg Inside Midfielder from Murray.
Dylan Clarke 185cm 82kg Inside Midfielder from Eastern, his brother Ryan was one I was interested in for last year but he ended up at Norf.
Hamish Brayshaw 183cm 85kg Inside Midfielder from Sandringham, brother of Angus at Melbourne and plays a similar way.
Jack Graham 183cm 83kg Inside midfielder from North Adelaide.

If we do end up with a top 10 pick I'd be hoping that one of these 4 is our target at this stage of the year. We have too many small skinny inside midfielders that see us get brushed aside when playing bigger bodied midfielders in high pressure contested games.

Will Brodie is the one. Absolute jet, but will go in the top 5

I've got a feeling that we'll trade our first round pick this year. The club has always stated that they invested heavily in the draft a couple years ago. That coupled with us trying and failing to get an A grade talent (apologies Yarran) in the last few years makes me think we'll trade it (maybe with a future pick) to get an A grader. I may be wrong. But I certainly get this impression.
Only way we would do that would be to get two other pics in r1

IMO we need to do a Melbourne like trade of a couple of years ago if we finish bottom 2.
Trade pick 2 for pick 8 and a gun.
Like Melbourne traded pick 2 for Dom Tyson and pick 9 (Salam)
They missed out on Josh Kelly but got 2 solid players.
We need to do something similar
And personally right now I'd rate Salem ahead of Kelly, that goal he kicked against us Sunday was very nice.

Worth putting this here:

FJ isn't over there, so i assume it's Matt Clarke?

We better get Odell to come across for free. My mistake he already plays for the doggies:

Definitely not Hamish Brayshaw, he isn't a top 30 pick and he is currently injured :thumbsu: Brayshaw has a lot to learn as a footballer...

Brodie will be gone by our pick unless something dramatic changes, Dylan Clarke the one I like ;)

What about Sam Petrevski-Seton? I'd love him at tigerland! Gun.

No more short skinny runts. Too easily brushed aside. We need a couple of genuine big bodied inside types who win the footy and are defensively accountable when we don't have it.

Hyphenated name = big red flag when it comes to drafting. A hyphenated name means he was most likely raised by pussy-arsed vegans who think it's sexist for a woman to know how to cook and are offended by men who pee standing up. Just about every highly rated hyphen named player I can think of is a malnourished, skinny bed shitter. Oakley-Nicholls, Hoskin-Elliott, McMillan-Pittard, etc

Early nominee for post of the year.

I agree that we need a big bodies mid, however if Seton is on board and Brodie is gone then no way can you look past Seton at this stage. Things may chance obviously but based on what I saw from Seton last year he is one of the best prospect in this years draft.
