Is he a contested beast? Freakin hope so. Have heard we have spoken to him multiple times and are keen. I don't know a thing about him

Yep contested beast- that kicked at under 50% this year.

I think we can get a Jonty Scharenberg at 55- I'd take Ridley if he's there.

Yep contested beast.
Yessss.

What are your thoughts on him Bishop and do you think he's is someone we would be all over if still on the table? Apologies if you've convered him previously.

Article by KM on drafting in general and how it applies to this year.
http://www.espn.com.au/afl/story/_/id/18005357/knightmares-historical-afl-draft-analysis

Nothing amazing but a reasonable amount of good thinking and analysis.

Certainly reinforces my feeling about not taking a KP this year and getting one next year when there are supposed to be about 10, compared to 2 decent guys this year

Interesting to see in the related links the "what your club needs" knightmare Richmond list analysis... after reading that I concluded he has NFI and didn't bother with the rest

Yep like him. There are others i'd have ahead of him- but put it this way I wouldn't be disappointed if we drafted him. He's a ripping lad. Wins the contested stuff, tackles hard.

Av 29.5 disposals, 16.8 (contested), 6.9 clearances and 7.9 tackles per TAC Cup game. Kicked at 49.2 % in TAC Cup and 45.5% in U18 Champs.

Sounds like he'd be a top 3 pick of not for his disposal based on those stats.

Certainly seems an exciting prospect

Don't need Cameron now, as we have Nankervis, plus I want Soldo to be given much more responsibility. Adding another ruck makes 1 of these redundant.
Hampson & Maric are not the future and possibly both have just 1 more year left

Nankervis is a good step in the right direction but Soldo is still probably only 20-30% chance to make it so we really do need to have another developing Ruck and Cameron would be a perfect choice with already having 3 years at WAFL level and really showing great signs both in the Ruck and as a Foward as well as being an extremely mobile player

Nankervis,Cameron,Soldo all developing at the same time gives us a shot at uncovering a good ruckman on the Cheap

Might even get a good trade for one if a couple come good and we can't keep both

With the chances of SPP and Venables being already gone Clarke is the kid I want. As I stated earlier not overly fussed about his DE% by foot as it is clearly hampered by winning so much contested ball and having to hack it out of the pack, rather than being a poor kick.

For mine another inside bull who can help getting the ball heading our way will be massive especially if it allows Dusty and Cotchin to be used outside more.

In one off season we could have overhauled our midfield and set ourselves up for the next 5-7 years.

See what you mean. LOL.
Might know something about drafting. But very little about the tigers. He didn't notice Caddy or Nankervis. Doesn't know of any good young players. And obviously sees Yarran as gone, and didn't notice Short, K Mac, Menadue, Markov. Oh well, 0 / 5 is OK .
Although saying you need quality youth is sort of like saying you need food. Goes without saying.

Richmond

List needs

1. Quality youth - (Richmond have been competitive on the back of their 25-and-overs. They will need to draft very well over future seasons to not fall down to the bottom of the ladder over coming seasons)

2. Star power through midfield - (Dion Prestia is a good addition and Dustin Martin and Trent Cotchin are the driving forces through the midfield. More high-end midfielders will be required for Richmond to take the next step)

3. An immediate ruckman - (with Ivan Maric declining, Shaun Hampton ineffective around the ground and Ivan Soldo and Mabior Chol development projects, Richmond need another ruckman who can contribute now and potentially take over from Hampton as the club's best ruckman)

4. Young star key forward to succeed Jack Riewoldt - (with Riewoldt 28 and key forwards generally taking around four seasons to develop into consistent AFL standard performers, this year or next year is the time to find the next key forward to build around)

5. Quality young general defenders - (Richmond have some components down back but ultimately after Bachar Houli, 28, lack a second, high-quality small or medium defender)

Draft picks: 27, 56, 82, 100, 118, 136

Who should they draft?

Isaac Cumming from the GWS Academy would be a suitable list fit at No. 27 as a back flanker who can provide run from defence but also use the ball cleanly and make good decisions.

Richmond late in the national draft or in the rookie draft would also be advised to take one of Rowan Marshall, Darcy Cameron or Oscar McInerney to improve the club's ruck stocks.

So Clarke is looking like our man, is he? Bit of a poor man's Dom Tyson but he'll be the insidest of our mids and ready to play from day one. I don't hate it.

I saw him compared to Taylor Adams which seems close after watching his highlights. Reading his Inside Footy Bio you'd think they were talking about Dan Jackson haha

Do not want Clarke. Couldn't stand 12-15 years of Norf fans proposing trades of Lachie Hansen for him to re-unite the brothers.

But then we can always offer them Conca for Ryan?
