This is a must listen, especially the mention that since Hamish has been working here not one coach has ever told them who they had to pick...
Loved the take on Doedee as well

Crows are the flavour of the month, let's hope we keep winning
We are ! ......two interviews with Hamish in the space of 2 weeks .....never b4

People are talking about our recruiting success .....given Tippett-gate and losing Bock, Dangerfield Gunston, Davis ....

David King said on Monday night "On The Couch" ....that he simply doesn't except any excuses from any club regarding list recruitment & management, based on what the Crows have done in the face of extreme difficulties :thumbsu:

Hamish Ogilvie interviewed by Cal Twomey today ...

Rememer, audio clip can be saved as an mp3 (at least on my desktop PC browser) by:
1. opening the "Road to the 2016 Draft..." link in a new tab
2. adding a .mp3 to the end of the URL address in the new tab
3. then when you mouse-right-click over the play controls on the new tab, there should be a "Save Audio As..." option available

Got this tip from HERE.

Taken from the AFL Draft Central site, unfortunately the link doesn't work...

Maybe there is a KPF worth looking at in this draft after all, 194cm and strongly built. A late call up for Vic, Country against SA, keen to have a squizz at him. Edit : Looks like a slightly smaller version of Nic Nat.

ESAVA’S EIGHT PROMPTS VIC COUNTRY CALL
  • June 21, 2016

Murray Bushrangers tall Esava Ratugolea starred on Sunday with eight goals against Bendigo. (Photo: Murray Bushrangers).

“ALL CLEAR” were two words prolific with the umpires at Queen Elizabeth Oval on Sunday when Cobram tall Esava Ratugolea booted a bag of eight goals.

Not since Steele Sidebottom back in the 2010 Grand Final had a Bushranger reached the double figures mark and at three quarter time when Ratugolea had seven goals straight, it looked like ten goals was more than achievable.

The bag of eight was the biggest by a Bushranger, since 2015 number two draft pick Josh Schache booted seven in the Bushrangers opening game for 2015. Like Ratugolea, Schache had seven goals to his name by three quarter time in a dominant day against the Pioneers.

There is no doubt that the Murray and Bendigo game has been one of the most viewed over the last few days, with Ratugolea’s haul catching the eye of AFL clubs.

Vic Country itself has begun the Under 18 Championships with a 0-2 record and have drafted Ratugolea into the squad for their game against South Australia on Friday at Etihad Stadium.

The 194 cm forward has a great accuracy in front of goal with his only behind on Sunday coming in the final five minutes of the match. Thirteen goals in three TAC Cup games will likely see him link up with Dandenong Stingrays forward Josh Battle inside 50 for Vic Country.

AFL Draft Central Reporter Matthew Grundy was at the match on Sunday, noting that “Ratugolea continued to show great work rate, kicking his sole behind late in the final quarter before sprinting to intercept a ball on the wing.”
An injury related start to the season saw Ratugolea miss preseason and the opening seven rounds of the year. However, Ratugolea’s work rate up forward means his knee is currently not causing him any concerns.

Ratugolea has the ability to work through the ruck, complementing the Bushrangers ruckman able to back them up in the centre of the ground where he has averaged 13 hitouts this season.

“Thought it was one of my best games for a long time…Didn’t think I’d be able to kick eight,” Ratugolea said.

“[I’m] pretty stoked, you can’t get much better than that. I’ve always dreamed at playing at that stage (AFL) and definitely will work hard to do it.”

Despite the return of Allies tall forwards Todd Marshall and Zach Sproule post championships, the eight goal haul will likely have done enough to keep Ratugolea in the team creating havoc for opposition defenders.

Recruiters are intrigued and Ratugolea will be watched closely over the next fortnight for Vic Country should he get a chance to debut in the white and blue.

In 2015, teammate Clayton Oliver bolted from nowhere after missing most of the Bushrangers preseason before being overlooked for state commitments. The strong bodied inside midfielder was then drafted at number four to Melbourne in November.

Will be watching. Keen to keep an eye on Will Hayward. Currently our leading goal kicker, who play a flank/pocket role. Keen to see if he might be able to convert to a midfielder.

Didn't do a lot but showed flashes of brilliance a couple of times, definitely something there so I can see where you're coming from with him.

Ended up seeing both U18s games between being in Melb for a couple of meetings. Fire away with any questions if anyone gives a f.....aaaark

Good news for crows (or Hawks) fans is that I think Ben Jarman is draftable . No world beater due to lack of pace and size but smart , skilful and tougher than any Jarman
I've seen . Good finisher . Not sure where he plays at AFL level , think he may eek out 50-100 games

McGrath again stood up when the the game got hot...
Almost my favourite player in the batch. Showed he can play midfield and win clearances but as a half back he's even better. Mccluggage is the high end class followed by Bowes And Brodie the best inside bull ( graham is pretty good too but less polished )
