So, I graduated from Uni today. Turns out one of my classmates is working up at AFL NT currently. Mentioned this board being somewhat keen on Frank
"Oh Ezekiel? I take him to training each week." Needless to say we got chatting (And she knows her footy, has been heavily involved in both playing and umpiring for quite a few years). Says he is quite strong overhead, and agile for a tall. Is a work in progress but a huge amount of upside if anyone is wanting to take the punt. If anyone has specific questions about him, i could possibly pass them on and get some answers.

Ssssshhhhhhh! He is my favorite 'small' forward. Is a bit inconsistent but I still hope we draft him.
Question: how much muscle weight does he think he needs to out on to play at Afl level? How dedicated is he to achieving that goal?

Canceled after half time
Bad weather
2 & 20 & 10 for Metro stood out
But there would have been a lot of contests where metro seemed to hold their own
Disappointing for Metro really

GC have a lot of early second round picks...

from memory they have their own + Freo, Ports and Richmonds

That would be picks 19 (948p) 22 (845p) 23 (815p) and 28 (677p)

We have 14 (1161p) 32 (584p) 62 (123p) 68 (59p) 69 (49p)

Edit: and with the Nicholls and Day rumors we might just be dealing with GC during the trade period anyways

AFL Victoria planning on getting rid of the VFL Development League. Bad move imo though clubs save money it makes it harder for blokes that just missed out on being draft play at a top level with afl clubs connected to a few

So has the metro side been announced?
Dundon is such a reliable kick, I'm calling him a Dav1d favorite :D

According to a article on the TAC Cup website it was meant to be announced yesterday but there's no list yet...

Dundon is one that has moved up my rankings a bit lately. Like my boy Junker he was injured really early in the year but has come out like a house on fire

FYI, it's on the AFL website. That's the list from the game on Wednesday I believe, so don't think it's the final cut down one which goes down to 30 ish?

Vic Country has 36 players on their list and the Allies have 34. So I'd say the final Metro list would be around that mark somewhere.

Can you post the link?

Anyone know what next year's academy players are looking like? Another haul like this year? If it keeps going this way surely something changes?

The level one AFL academy says it all...

Vic Country: Tyrone Hayes, Aaron Darling, Kane Farrell, Aidan Quigley, Lochie O'Brien, Hunter Clark, Luke Davies-Uniacke, Cody Henness, Oscar Clavarino
Vic Metro: Jack Higgins, Lachlan Fogarty, Patrick Naish, Joel Garner, Jaidyn Stephenson
South Australia: Jordan Houlahan, Darcy Fogarty, Thomas Schmusch, Callum Coleman-Jones
Western Australia: Jake Patmore
Queensland: Jack Clayton, Connor Ballenden
NSW/ACT:Charlie Spargo, Jack Powell, Jarrod Brander, Alex Paech, Nathan Richards
Northern Territory: Dominic Grant

Edit: NSW/ACT have MORE players in this years Level 1 (under agers) acadmey than they do in the level 1 (draft eligibile) academy!

Expect the football world to go completely nuts if this continues...

Spoke to a few people that have playrd footy with K.Brown
Apparently hes little bit overweight and lacks the speed as a key forward

From the Calder Preview:

Perhaps the one for AFL Draft watchers to keep an eye on will be 192cm forward Karl Brown, who returns as an over-age player after booting 36 goals in 11 games in his first TAC Cup season. “He’s lost about 15kg over the two years and is now looking like he might fulfil that potential he showed previously,” Kyte said of Brown. “I think Karl will be one who’ll be talked about by people as the year goes on.”

Looks like he has worked on that a bit over the past few seasons

How about Lloyd Meek or Todd Lawrence from North Ballarat Rebels? What has been said about them, they look good to fit into doggies colours?

Not sold on Lawrence but Meek would be a very good fit for our game plan as I've said previously in this thread.

Meek is a good ruck but also has also looked good up forward and is quite agile and quick at ground level for someone his size.
