happens a lot josh dunkley was training with richmond last year
Why don't they just all do it then, would surely aid/fast-track their development?

Might help to explain why SPP's disposal seems to have improved so much from last year.

Both Twomey and Brett Anderson have us taking him at 23, for what it's worth.

Andeson and Twomeys are a very similar top 20. the only difference is Venables for Gallucci by Anderson.

They are both aware that battle has been invited to the draft right?

The only reason i would ever pass on mcclugage is because i rated ainsworth higher. mcCluggage and taranto are similar only mccluggage will be better than taranto bookmark that, hes done so much more this year its unbelievable.

I don't understand these "draft experts", they have the knowledge but they're not really giving us expert opinions with phantom drafts only a day or two out, based heavily on insider knowledge. All that means is that how right they are comes down to how good their contacts are, not their scouting ability of players, or predictions of club needs etc. This is where US Sports leave us for dead, their experts are constantly releasing mock drafts or power rankings.

I'd much rather see them all list in October whom they rate where, than this form of chinese whispers.

They have been doing mock drafts all year though. Twomey did one every month I believe. It's not quite like the US, but the coverage is there.

They do release power rankings throughout the year.

Anderson has Battle slipping to the 40's.

With the lack of depth in tall forwards in this draft i will be very surprised if he lasts beyond 20.

So GWS will look pretty foolish if Mcgrath's name is read out at pick 1 on friday, They sold the farm to try and get Mcgrath and it looks as though he won't even be there at pick 2. Taranto would be hating life if he's taken by GWS.

I wonder if Freo could have drafted McLuggage if they had kept 3.

Irrelevant now though isn't it? I think anybody would take the above deal if it were offered. McClug will be a superstar but I think we nailed that trade.

I agree it was probably a good deal.

But the players available at 3 and 7 is very relevant (while also considering other scenarios like whether GWS still would have got pick 2 off brissy).

The difference in talent avilable at 3 and 7 will decide if it was a fair deal, good deal or great deal for Freo.
