No, you stated that your team has been the no. 1 drafter the last few years. How exactly is this measured? No 'hate' came either, your silly claim was questioned.

How is it silly?
Weve produced 13-15 "top 22" players in 3 years, turned a list that was so deplorable to make the finals was considered 10 years away. 3 years later we finish 9th on 12 wins.

I doubt any other team has had 13-15 hits from 3 drafts, rookie drafts and trading ins.

13-15 hits and yes Im being conservative and only including those that have showed they will make it. Didnt add freeman rice templeton they are our failures. Sinclair and Lonie are the only two that may not make it but IMO they have the skill and motovation and will make it.
God why cant people just say hey nice work. No other team would have 13 hits in 3 drafts Just pay the respect ffs

Don't understand how we f'd it up in a couple of years Lewis and Mitchell won't be playing. So all we have really lost is draft picks and Brad Hill. I also don't think a lot of people understand how good O'mera could and has been he could easily win a Brownlow

I think youve got some good young players but i dont think any other clubs would be overly upset that they dont have some of your players that werent top 3 selections.

Producing 13-15 top 22 players in 3 years doesn't necessarily mean you've drafted really well, I'd say a lot of it is to do with the lack of quality of the players you had at the time. Good on your young players for being able to achieve what they did this year but I think you have some key player retirements coming up as well.

So FFS I won't praise your team for your drafting which looks like a pass mark for the picks you've had. A few years ago a lot of North supporters were pretty cocky about how they did in the draft, a few years later and Bastinac is at another club, Harper is delisted (I think) and Atley hasn't made it to being anywhere near the player a lot thought he would be.

Pick 3. Billings (inconsistent but talented, Bont would have been handy)
Pick 5. Carlisle (trade, N/A)
Pick 18 Dunstan (questionable, not best 22 according to some stk posters)
Pick 18. Gresham (looking good but early)
Pick 19 Acres (good signs, like him)
Pick 21. Goddard (miss at this stage)
Pick 22. Mackenzie (miss, but some decent signs)
Pick 40. B.White (miss)
Pick 41. Lonie (maybe)

We even have 9 in 2 years and these guys are actual best 22 players who have played in and won finals.

Some of these guys you are calling hits are handy VFL players at best.

i agree with blueiris that any of the supposed top 3 would be great, if forced to choose i would go in order McGrath, Ainsworth then McCluggage but only a bees you know what between the 3 of them IMO, all fill needs. Taranto, SPS and Brodie a little bit behind those 3.

The Bont was rated mid to late teens by every club except Dogs .
Pmac is a KPF while Petracca is a midfielder , selection wouldve been a need basis .
So glad WE did !
