If the Dockers pass on English, could he slip entirely out of the first round? I'd imagine both Adelaide and the Dogs would be interested in a young gun ruck, but they would surely be prioritising other players. Has anyone heard of other clubs being linked other than Freo?
We are right into scrimshaw as wellglad i'm not the only one then
brodie has also been spending time up on the GC. i think GC's perfect haul would be: SPS, Bowes, Brodie, English/Logue
basically reboots that midfield
I just listened to it and I think you're onto something.
Pity.......because we wanted SPS........oh well.![]()

Apparently we're very interested but don't think he'll be thereIf the Dockers pass on English, could he slip entirely out of the first round? Perhaps Twomey didn't know this he drafted him to us in he's mock draft last week
He's still a much better player then Robbie Tarrant and he will prove it this year.

Bit of talk Cedric Cox could be the one. Has had lots of interviews with Adelaide, WCE and dogs.
There's always one shock. If it's a Doedee-level shock like last year then Cox isn't even enough, it'll be someone not even spoken about that high.May go to the Dogs with pick 18 but can't see him going at picks 12 and 13, way too early. Most draft their is a major riser.

It was an odd choice but every club's done it. Christian Howard was a stinker of a pick.We might have mucked up the Gibbs trade, we might yet have mucked up Jarman Jnr shenanigans, but I'm much more certain that we mucked up pick 17 last year.
We only took Doedee with pick 17 because that was our last pick in 2015 ND but reckon we could have swapped 17 with another club for say a late 20s plus a 2016 pick upgrade and still drafted Doedee. We weren't thinking there!
If they are the three most interested clubs then it's a strange mix. You would thing WCE at 12, Crows at 13 is too early for Cox and their next picks are 34 and 43 which looks way too late. Dogs with 18 and 26 seems the right range, strike early at 18 and get your man or sweat off until 26 and hope he's still there.Bit of talk Cedric Cox could be the one. Don't get me wrong Doedee might end up worthy of pick 17, so I'm not bagging it totally, just that we didn't need to burn a pick that high because we certainly would still have got him much later and enhanced our picks this year in the process. Just wasn't thought through. It was an odd choice but every club's done it. Christian Howard was a stinker of a pick.
None worse than Danny McAllister... Thanks SheedsIt was an odd choice but every club's done it. Christian Howard was a stinker of a pick.
I'll see your Doedee and raise you a Sier who was so obscure that there wasn't even a write up on him available when he got picked with Collingwoods first selection! That was the biggest shock for me. Doedee may have been a few mock drafts in the third round.
I have nothing against Tarrant, but saying he's as good as Hurley in his AA year is not true in my opinion for the 16th time.Geez you sure have it in for Taz.
if Bowes gets past pick 10 and receives a bid in prior to the 2nd round, Gold Coast will have to go into deficit and have those points deducted from their pick in the same round as th bid. I.e their 2017 1st rounder will get moved back to clear the points deficit.
Gold Coasts next pick is 72, carrying a whooping 19 points. Not doubt it will come in some but won't go close to covering a 1st round bid. Correct me if I'm wrong but not sure that's a great outcome.
If no bids, I expect Gold Coast to use pick 10 on Bowes and use the pick they get with the leftover points to secure someone like Brad Sheer, also at a discount.

Depends how they rate next year's draft class though.
Bulldogs perhaps with Cedric Cox (not advocating for that). Will we see a Deodee (Adelaide pick) taken way to early like last year
There's always one, so yes. I don't think Cox counts FTR.Will we see a Deodee (Adelaide pick) taken way to early like last year
