West Coast reach for Bolton IMO
That would be a massive reach. Heard a number of clubs are worried about the go-home factor. He has reportedly has said a few things that make E/S clubs apprehensive. I think he will be available for Eagles at pick 34 (or in 2 years time).

Reckon Powell-Pepper at 12 or best available?

The one thing I have criticised him for is he doesn't utilise his height advantage as much as he should. Tries to take them on the chest instead of overhead and defenders usually spoil. Fix that there's no reason he can't kick 40+ for you next season.
Once again I agree.

If we can get big Roughie fit and healthy (I would settle on him being heathy and clear of cancer)

I think a foward line of Roughie,Gunston and Vickery with Cyril,Bruest and Poppy would be very dangerous.

Heeney/Simpkin/Papley

Look out! :p

He's the one I really want at 9.

Brodie possibly, Hayward (if we want to take a punt).

Simpkin is perfect for us at 9.

Would Pick 12 be a massive reach for Pepper-Powell? Unless someone like Simpkin or Brodie slips through that would actually be a fairly constructive selection for West Coast.

In the range but surely they need a pure inside to help Priddis. They have literally no depth in inside mids.

Pepper-Powell has shown he has some inside skills, but as you allude to, he's not a pure contested ball winner. With a bit of development he could perform in that role.

Surely if Brodie is there it's a no brainer. You take the inside mid in brodie. After that it is tricky, do you take SPP, or do you possibly take a Venables? WC are surely hoping that Brodie is there.

Why waste a 1st rounder on him when he will return home in 12 months time due to homesickness and they can rookie list him.

I am too. Should Logue make it through I would be interested in what we do also.

does berry have that side to him? is brodie is gone, who's the next best inside mid?

That's the question. This draft is good, but I do question how good the insides are aside from Brodie. Would it be Berry or Venables?

That's a lot of projection though. He's worth a pick in the 15-20 range so it's not a massive reach taking him at 12.

Obviously, they'll be hoping Brodie or Simpkin slip through though.

There will likely be one of Clarke/Atley/Graham/Drew there at West Coast's second rounder, not sure they need to reach at 12 if Brodie is gone.
