Why wouldn't it matter?
Because that doesn't determine how good a player is.

Is Conca a better midfielder then Heeney because he has played more seasons in the AFL?

Haha, the length a player has been in the AFL does not determine how good that player is.

I mean P. Cripps with JK3 were the best this season at contested possesions in the AFL. But how can that be because Cripps has only played a couple of seasons?

Are we trading a player to Hawthorn for pick 10 so they can on-trade him to GC? I thought GC were after players.

Someone posting that it will be 3 way deal,

swans-10
gc-tippett
haw-jom

would explain us being 'in it' and the tippett talk
TRade radio is saying that pick 10 may get the Swans into some GWS academy players such as Marshall or Perryman. But, we may lose two first round draft picks or tippett and 14 to get down to 10. If this happens we are really into getting rid of Tippett big time.

If we trade 14 and 17 to Hawthorn for 10 and those picks go to GC for JOM then I think we have well and truly fluffed it. I don't see how it's worth the upgrade. Unless they have someone very, very specific they want at 10 in the draft.

If we lose Tippet wouldn't we rather go after Witts? Tall guy from Sydney, cost about the same but with more potential. Also he's not a complete tool - but the Swannies seem to have thrown out the no dick head policy years ago
I am merely trying to make doona jump off the gap.

It is not that I don't like them. It is just this trade period is so boring.

I don't see how we'd be trading Tippett out now that Nankervis is gone. Unless we'll going to snaffle another ruckman somehow today. Naismith and Sinclair aren't going to do it for us.

I'm conflicted. Tippett at his best is fantastic but maybe we could use his wage to better effect.

I agree, althought possibly an upgrade of picks in our favour later in the draft to 'sweeten' it. But I don't know the current draft order as it stands.

Gws are going to get picks back for Marchbank, Pickett, and hoskin elliot plus probably stewart .... Whether we are keen on the GWS academy players or not is irrelevant they will have enough points to match our bid.

Surely ... there is no way we would trade 14 and 17 for pick 10.

Jarrod Witts has been traded from the Pies to the Suns in exchange for pick 44 and 62 @traderadio
