Hardly say McEvoy was a big trade. Swap with Savage was about .5 on the trade scale. You could be right however, but for us to have a chance at O'Meara you'd think a Tippett move is one of the few ways it could get done...
also if mcevoy was being included his name would just be mentioned and not in cryptic tweets... this is starting to have a similar feel to buddy

starting to dream about JOM. Probably be too good to be true... however if you write your own and script and read between the lines-

Club needs run and skill, ship off the only mid we havnt got locked away= mitchell

Tabled offer to nankervis

Reid already has an extension despite a year to run and not playing for 12 months.

gc wanted 14-we (just about official) have it.

Tippett to gc for jom- clears cap space and gets rid of tom, and reid assumes tippetts spot.

We now have an eliye 2 way mid.

Again unlikely and i fully expect JOM to sign with the hawks in the coming days, but it sure is fun to dream
It actually does make a lot of sense. I'm sure that GC would be happy to get Tippet, 14 and 17 for JOM. JOMs wage would be similar to Tippetts. The issue is that O'Meara wants to go home.

I would take O'Meara for pick 14 and Tippett in a heartbeat. Gold Coast would be desperate for a quality ruckman and we could really do with a quality ball user. The departure of Mitchell leaves a big hole in our midfield, and our midfield is what has carried us to GF's and premierships over the last five years. Tippett is one of the best forward/rucks in the game, but with Naismith getting a season's worth of experience this year he will surely be able to cover the number one ruck role, not to mention he will massively benefit from a full pre-season and build his tank. If Nankervis leaves, which is looking likely, Naismith will have to cover a lot of ground. Reid will probably be able to put a small shift in the ruck when need be. Sinclair could maybe come into the team as well and play primarily as a forward. He is an average ruckman around the ground, but he can take big contested grabs inside fifty alongside Buddy. Contested grabs inside 50 is something that we have lacked, so I'd chuck Sinclair in there and let Naismith do the rest until he needs a breather.

I'm sure we wouldn't need to throw in any picks if we gave up Tippet. Tippet actually plays football, unlike JOM who is basically an underwear model who hangs around the clubhouse.
Even in a straight swap I'd be saying no to that trade.

Umm.... no one in their right mind would say no to 14 and Tippett for JOM, let alone a straight swap

But they do want Hanley from brisbane, and brisbane wanted pick 14.

Idk I'm probably dreaming but I would certainly cop a three way trade in the nature of:
BRIS: Pick 14
SYD GET: O'Meara + GC later pick (maybe pick 44??)
GC GET: Tippett & Hanley

This has gone full Pyscho really quickly.
We can keep going. A little birdie told me we are looking at Deledio for a bit of pace with Nankervis heading the other way. Sticking point is Richmond want our pick 14 as well as Nankervis.

Then they can keep Deledio! I don't want him anyway, and I especially don't want him AND our best reserve ruck (and on form he should be in the side anyway)

Looking at the GC thread, most supporters seem happy with Tippett & 14 for JOM.

I say we go for it. JOM is on roughly the same coin as Tippo so salary not an issue. Mitchell left which opens a spot in our midfield for a classy player. We still have Mitchell's salary and the increase in tpp to cover heeney re-signing. I reckon the stars are aligning.
