I think with a full list our forward line isn't going to be all that bad. The key area is our backline. It as weak as water...............
I think we have the right personnel in our back line, it is just most are young and it is going to take some time for them to all develop. Alex Pearce and Collins both look like very good key defenders of the future. Hughes and Crozier are both very talented but need more time to settle in to their roles. Spurr is better than many give credit and Nyhuis looks promising as another negating defender. Johnson should give us one more year which will be invaluable for the development of those around him. Despite his many limitations Dawson is a solid role player. Uebergang has shown some great potential and Morabito looked great pre-season. Sutcliffe and Ibbotson can be better than what they have been this season. I agree it isn't fantastic but there is still plenty of young talent coming through and given all that I think they've held up extremely well considering.

Meanwhile I think there are far more question marks around our forward line. Taberner will likely be our most experienced key forward next year and he's shown great improvement but he's far from a scoring machine. Pavlich gone. Mayne possibly gone. Walters playing more midfield. Apeness and Smith, likely both retained but are extremely inexperienced. Even if McCarthy comes to us he isn't a certainty to be firing from day one. Ballas is still struggling with consistency. Yarran is promising but he's only just debuting now. Will we get the best out of Bennell? Where does Weller fit? Will Langdon be retained? Will Balic play as a half forward? So in all that is there any certainty at all?

I think "weak as water" is unfair. Both our forward line and back line are mostly young and inexperienced. But there is plenty of potential talent in both and imo in time both can be very good.

Most of the WA 18 draft prospects playing this week in the ressies and colts, including Tim English, SPS, SPP, and Shai Bolton. Hura possibly playing league.

Fullgrabe I find an interesting prospect, I'll keep an eye on his stats too.

If Langdon's off to the Pies, would Jonno Marsh be a good trade? Like Langdon, he's young and hasn't played a lot of games yet, so he's been unable to show his full worth. Yes he's taller, so he's apparently arbitrarily worth 'more' but I reckon a straight swap could work. Does anyone have any opinions on Marsh?
I go to a lot of Pies AFL & VFL games so I've seen a fair bit of him (and by a fair bit, I mean, a couple of games because he's always injured). I'd go to the extent of saying I'm not sure his body is up to being a footballer at all. When he did his hammy in the VFL finals last year, it was so innocuous. Since then he's played like someone that doesn't trust his body. He doesn't run as hard. Plays reaaaaaally soft.

Are the Reserves and Colts teams listed somewhere? Can never seem to find them.

Fair Point and you make a good point, but currently Our Backline isn't intimidating for which I find it fragile. This year has been an example of who can and who cant when under extreme pressure. As for the Forward line if can get Smith and Apeness to smash the backs and bring the ball to the ground I feel we will be incredibly dangerous. Having the Midfield depth we will have who can go forward makes it so much more potent and dangerous.

Of course this will need to be with a full healthy lst

Would take conca as a delisted free agent, would probably do better then whatever we choose in the 5th round, then again we excel in drafting in the late rounds
