I don't think so, since Currie went to the Gold Coast, Daw is the only guy on our list who can ruck other than Preuss (who is a development player a long way off AFL). Brown atm goes into the ruck but his rucking technique is shithouse, if we actually needed him to win any hitouts we would be in strife. If Goldy gets hurt, Daw is pretty much the only one else on our list who could ruck.
I think we only put him on the rookie list while he was going through his court case over the pre-season, after the case was over we elevated him back to the senior list.
However, he may choose to leave, like Currie last year, if he feels that he is good enough to carry the ruck for another side.
Looking at our KPFs in terms of pecking order:
Petrie 197cm/101kg 33y7m 302 games
Waite 194cm/93kg 33y3m 216 games
Brown 200cm/99kg 23y6m 42 games
Wood 192cm/84kg 22y8m 11 games
Daw 195cm/97kg 25y2m 17 games
Black 192cm/90kg 25y5m 50 games
Durdin 198cm/88kg 19y11m 0 games (1st rnd pick 2014)
McKay 199cm/91kg 18y5m 0 games (1st rnd pick 2015)
I think our key forward stock looks pretty good beyond Petrie/Waite, but Daw, Black and Wood's form is pretty good atm and it will be difficult to keep them all. Thankfully we don't have pressure from Durdin or McKay atm.
