Pffffft, this guy was available in 2013. But hey, why would you want a developing ruckman who can mark it?

We've got NFI.
Our lack of ideas is apparently the same as every other club, since he has remained unpicked.
At the beginning of this year he had played more reserves than seniors. Let's save the gnashing of teeth until he is actually drafted and performing for someone..

Wilson's in the 1st year of a new contract, he's not going anywhere.
Correct and that ship has sailed. This afl.com.au article talked about how Wilson was exploring his options before he signed on 15 September:
http://m.afl.com.au/news/2015-09-04/trade-whispers-leuenberger-smith-in-giants-sights

I'd rather keep our pick 1/2 (depending on Bombers), but what about;
Freo's Pick 1/2 and a fringe docker with some sort of currency (Barlow/Crozier)
for
GWS's McCarthy, Pickett and their first pick (ie Collingwood's 2016 pick - which is likely top 10 pick)

Swaps of other later picks if needed for points. We keep a top 10 pick, get two homesick players and GWS get first/second pick in draft in addition to a player who needs a change of scenery

Love it but highly unlikely GWS would agree.

Am I the only one disappointed that there is no clear KPP standout kid/s this year ?
In fact, reading through a lot of phantom draft threads it seems across a number of lines the quality is fairly evenly matched.
Couple of gun kids are academy pick-ups and one or two decent ball using mids but there seems to be little fapping over a schache/weitering type....
The footy gods just keep delivering :(

Nothing to do with footy gods. If we had recruited KPP 5 or 6 years ago when we should of we wouldn't have been in this predicament. Nothing to do with divine intervention just shit management

Early days, the decent footballing States haven't played off yet. No doubt the Vics will have some hulking gun youngster who can clunk just about anything and kick it a country mile, so we can overlook him.

True, but his highlight reel of overhead marks, kicking goals and contesting at ground level is top notch compared to Jack Hannath's:

Hannath is going to be delisted this year because of modern game required more mobile ruck, if Darcy still around at our later pick we should be considered him .

Apart from Darling which every club whiffed on there hasn't been much on offer when Freo drafted. If you look through the drafts any tall player worth a note was gone in top10-12. The draft McCarthy was in we took Apeness because that was best there. The only draft we had an opportunity was when we took Weller.

I don't get how people continually spit venom when the facts are there, would you go and take a guy ranked 40 or so in the draft with pick 15? Doggies seem to go alright without a decent tall, you only really need 1 at each end and you're there.

So you can't trade players to upgrade picks? It's not just about what you get in the draft. Even if we upgraded a couple of picks on the last 2 years we could of had McCarthy, Lever,Adams, Durdin etc

Having never seen him play, or his highlight reel, I will bet he will not make it. Purely because that is the fate of 9 out of 10 state league players talked up every year.

Seriously though, can he 1st ruck? Nobody that tall is going to be playing forward permanently, getting jumped over and rebounded off by AFL quality KPDs..

Pick 16, Suban and pile of sticks for pick 6. "Where do I sign !!" Say hypothetical club staffed by ******s.
FMD. We never had the list depth to trade for currency.

I wonder if anyone's still looking at Greg Clark who was WA's captain last year. His name came up a few times in the 2015 thread, and it still stuns me he wasn't picked up. Pretty sure he's grown a bit since, super aerobic & has elite endurance.

If that the case, we got some rookie spots available.

What we made a GF in 2013 but had no currency to upgrade picks getting rid of some players from a losing GF? You are kidding right? If you get to a GF and don't win do you sit on your hands or improve your squad??

I don't know why I'm arguing with someone deluded enough to imagine that they can see the blindly obvious that is invisible to a troop of people paid to do it for a living, but no, I'm not kidding.
We didn't have anyone we could give up, that someone that would actually value in the real world rather than fantasy trade land, that wouldn't have weakened us flag tilt wise the following year.
