So were Watson and Mitchell iirc .....

I thought Mitchell was injured for much of his draft year. I have blocked a lot out though.

Hawkins is the only one on the list you would consider a star, Patton has potential.. Daniher, Boyd & McCartin yet to prove it yet but dont have lines through them. It does appear though that they are either taken pick #1 or left alone and is proven for reason..

Daniher is proven IMO. Hasn't quite reached that 'star' level yet but he is well on his way there. With good midfield delivery, he will step it up next year.

Unfortunately....**** him and *

Daniher far from proven IMO, plays 2 good games a year, both against Carlton Football Club.

Boy can play.

He may look like Lurch from the Addams Family, trying to get into the porno industry.

But he's damn talented and has impressive output for a 22yo KPF...

Dead ringer for Bontempelli with that lateral movement and kicking action.

Going to be interesting to see where he ends up and how much upside recruiters see in him. The benefit of having 3 picks inside the Top 20 this year is you'll be nabbing 3 players of similar ability, who could all press their case for Round 1.

If we took (for example) Ainsworth, Scrimshaw and Clarke, I'd suspect at least 2, if not all would make the squad. A huge inoculation of talent.
what moves get us the 2 extra picks?

what moves get us the 2 extra picks?

Tuohy to Sydney for 18.
Kreuzer and change to GWS for 16.
Everitt and 23 to GC for 17 (if they get it from Hawthorn).
48 and 2017 second rounder to GWS for 16 (assuming they want to continue stockpiling future picks).
5 and 23 to GWS for 7, 15 and 16.

There'd be ways to do it.

what moves get us the 2 extra picks?

Pick 5 to GCS for 8 & what ever they get from Hawthorn for JOM (pick 16 - 18)
2E & 2017 2nd to North for North 1st (likely pick 11)
Everitt & Graham to GCS for 21

Would leave us with 8, 11, 16, 21 & 23

We might miss Ainsworth but my uneducated understanding of the draft we would still pick up plenty of quality... Of course we may trade one or more of those picks to GWS for Marchbank, Pickett etc.

Thinking about giving up pick 5, gives me nightmares.
But what about pick 5 pick 40ish and next years 2nd for
Marchbank Pickett/Ahern pick 8 and pick 16

So we get Marchbank and say Pickett and go to the draft with 8 16 23 41

Is Petrevski-Seton another Yarran type?
If so don't want to go near him.

He's indigenous, if that's what you mean?

SPS is a mid and has a better tank than Yarran had.
Beautiful player that would be a brilliant get for us here.

the more i read about this kid the more i want him. if he has the work ethic & drive to become a pure mid then he's what we need.

Would love SPS.
Have a look on the draft and trading board - one of the draft watchers over there is a fan of Logue.

Being a West Australian alone, moves him up our pecking order. :)

I like the look of him. A tall defender that can go through the midfield? Just how well can he play mid? Interesting.

SPS & Logue for the CFC. I can live with that.

I want us to lock up Andy McGrath and throw away the key. Not only is he an absolute gun but his leadership skills are something that would be a great addition to the club. A young group of leaders with Doc, Cripps, Weiters and Mcgrath will help really change the culture at the footy club.

Top end still sounds so good. McLuggage probably the only player we're guarenteed not to get a shot at but Brodie, SPS and McGrath sound fantastic. I'd also be putting a bit on Bowes regardless.

Some players with a lot of upside in the 10-20 range, Scrimshaw and Venables the pick of the bunch for mine.

Picks in the 20-30 range will be very valuable, i like the look of Clarke, Berry, Rotham and Powell-Pepper and a few others, shouldnt throw them away lightly

Rumour is that Hugh Mc will go at 1
Brisbane will take Mcgrath at 2
Freo will take Petrovski-seton at 3
(Hopefully bid on Bowes and make GCS take him)
GCS take bowes
Blues get Brodie

If that happens then we are laughing. Dead set gun and him and Cripps will rip teams a new A-hole!

Brodie is a star, that would be legendary

Logue may be better value for CFC than the similarly sized but oft-injured Marchbank.

Agree Brodie is possible (although not likely) - so would really hate to trade pick #5 as our focus should be on quality particularly in the middle.

Would be a dream to get Bodie (#5), Scrimshaw (#11 Tuohey), Kerr (#23).
