Midfielders who hit the scoreboard, why would anyone want that?**** I hope not. Ainsworth and Taranto the top of my DO NOT WANT list when it comes to top 12 picks.

I think the concern with Ainsworth is that at the top level he may just be a half forward/small forward who's a frustratingly erratic kick for goal.Midfielders who hit the scoreboard, why would anyone want that?![]()

The concern with Taranto is that he's a little vanilla.
True. I don't think MCLuggage is perfect either. I'd want a strong inside game if I was going to pick a midfielder with pick 1.Other than McLuggage, tell me who hasn't got some concern about them?
Not many Weiterings in this draft, that's for sure.
Because i'm not convinced on the "midfielders" part of that sentenceMidfielders who hit the scoreboard, why would anyone want that?![]()

I thought Ainsworth and Taranto had been thrown into the midfield in the back half of the season to dispel fears 'doubters' such as yourself had.Because i'm not convinced on the "midfielders" part of that sentence
Just got home from todays TAC Cup few notes
- Andy McGrath is now my favourite to go at pick 1, when it mattered the most he stood up was enormous in the last QTR. Basically willed his side over the line really massive leadership by him today, his stats will def back up my thoughts.
- Taranto & Scrimshaw were sensational all day
- Brodie had a mare today, he barely touched it, but they did play him forward a bit. They kept him on ice in the last QTR think he came out and played the first 10 mins maybe
It seems as though GWS want McGrath and if so they'll do everything to get him, which means Essendon could get very lucky with their first.
The first they don't deserve to hold.
I continue to ask why he needs to use such gratuitous violence to get his message across.I think the concern with Ainsworth is that at the top level he may just be a half forward/small forward who's a frustratingly erratic kick for goal.

It sells tickets.I continue to ask why he needs to use such gratuitous violence to get his message across.
Match-winners are match-winners.
Not easy to come by and particularly not in finals.
