Andrew McGrath wins BOG medal.
Top 2 for me.......and for Brisbane.....and GWS

Really came into his own from half-way through the year and his numbers have been phenomenal....along with his leadership.
Just too hard to resist. Ready to go quality player.
Yep your right he'll be gone before our pick who is it for you for us out of ainswoth brodie i think will slide and taranto could go up into top ten easily scrimshaw looks a beauty someone else ?

I think Scrimshaw is this years bolter. Wouldn't be surprised to see him go top5. Tall, very quick, sidestep and good skills. McGrath will take number 1 of Mccluggage IMO

Looked a bit ordinary in front of goal, but around the ground, a heck of a lot to like about him.
Have been a fan of his for a long time but he plays similar to Cripps, is that the right mix for us ??

I am also worried about his kicking technique, if we were to land him hopefully our player development has improved enough to help him in this area.

Kicking isn't that bad . You'd take him if he was there at pick5. I'm thinking he will go at 3 or 4

Has Taranto bolted enough to warrant a pick 5 ?

Good question.

Recruiters are human too and the more recent the good performances, the easier it is to push those names up. :)

Plenty of players have put their hand up in recent weeks, just as would have been expected.

Draft pool goes deeper than those shown today, but.........
Have liked McGrath for a long while, still do, likely to go higher than #5 and is more HBF than Midfielder. Not so worried
about missing out on him now. Slightly more prolific Doc, but annoying how constantly chips and handballs as 1st option.
Trigg talked of "hybrid mids", I, like many others have been screaming for some inside help for Cripps, however hybrid is
right, need "balanced" kids who can play inside and out. If Crippa is fit attends a mountain of contests so perhaps we
shouldn't commit our first to a predominantly inside player like Brodie. Certainly will be "a player" though.
Taranto decent, but doesn't jump out as a top 10 player to me....a little lower...solid at many things, x factor minimal.
I have been a bit "meh" on Scrimshaw, (thought over rated rangy HBF) but he really impressed me today. Hate the
inevitable "Bont" likeness, but fits the accumulator, leftie and elite disposal mantra reportedly spoken of by Bolts. May be
a little more outside than inside, but could see him coming off a wing, pinch hitting in the middle.....and who knows, may
develop into a genuine allrounder.
I usually turn off to the hype associated with the Ratugolea types...the next Nic Nat...blah blah, but so raw and enough
good snippets to suggest something to work with if available late in the draft.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see Scrimshaw go in the Top 5, but if it's out of him and Brodie I'd prefer the latter.

I have a gut feeling Scrimshaw is going to be on to be a very good player though, and 6'3 midfielders who transition between defence and attack are at a premium. We've seen how dominant Bontempelli, JPK and Cripps have been this year.

McGrath will go top two. He and McLuggage locked in there I think now. If Bowes get's bit on top #3, we will likely get Brodie as I dont think Freo will take him, but they may not have pick #3 so that could change things.

Too many posters thinking this way. Freo can use Brodie, Scrimshaw and SPS in their team, and will simply take the best player.

If there's no bid on Bowes we might find ourselves missing out on one of those names you've mentioned or Scrimshaw, though SPS, Ainsworth, English and others are a decent booby prize.

We're totally ****ed if GC trade in pick 1 or trade down.

Hmmn, maybe. I just think the toss up between SPS and Brodie is too close and they'll take the local.

McLuggage, McGrath and Brodie were taken in the top #3, without a Bowes bid. I'd firstly bid on Bowes at #5 and then i'd take whichever of SPS or Scrimshaw that GC didn't take. I'd reach for Scrimshaw over Ainsworth i think.

While I liked Scrimshaws game, can he win enough ball to be a midfielder or are you getting a tall flanker? Moves well and is a great kick.
Thought McGraw kicking look below average and doesn't seem to want to be the player running and kicking into the forward line. Lots of repeat 1-2 handballs in his stats
Brodie looked really good early but faded. Not as skilled as you want a top 5 draft picket be but will become a beast.
Marshall is definitely at the bottom of my list of wants. Hardly presented all day and was lucky with his 2 goals. Confirmed what I saw in the other game I saw him play for the Allies.

My Order of wants now
McLuggage
Brodie
Scrimshaw
McGrath

Brodie has way more pace than Cripps.
