With the need to reduce their list by 2, 5 top 30 (ish) academy kids and a want to select from the top 2, trying for another high pick simply means they'll get squeezed out by a club in another trade.
Unless we try and pinch pick 15 off them and keep 5. I feel we need another late first round pick. There is a lot of good talent through that mid range. IMO florent would be a perfect fit.

I'm happy enough with as many picks in the 15-35 range as we can muster.

Absolutely legitimate for Brisbane to bid 3 on Bowes. He is clearly good enough for Pick 3 and he is a Queenslander.

It is also possible for Brisbane to change their mind on bidding on Bowes if GC somehow decide to give Brisbane a good trade for Hanley;)
Yes you can guarantee this will occur, think of all the ways we've been shafted and this will just be another.

GC pick 4 = Will Brodie

Anyone else wrapt Brisbane n GWS swapped picks, I feel as if pick 2 will mean the Giants won't want our pick 5 as much now to secure Andrew McGrath.

Agreed, but Ainsworth has serious xfactor

I'll admit i haven't seen any of these guys play live so not really in a position to judge. X factor? from what i've seen so far that would be SPS and even Bolton.
I've already mentioned it in a previous post but I have some concerns over Ainsworth's inconsistent kicking style.

Absolutely, SPS & Bolton have x-factor

SPS is class, looks like he has a few more gears than he normally shows

Bolton pure speed, needs to be involved more. Has great vision too

Ainsworth also has pure class. Is powerful, hits the ball at speed and has strong hands in the air or at ground level. His combine results franked his power, but also his agility. He is no Jamie Elliot when it comes to kicking at goals, but he has a sound technic. Unless you were confident he could spend quality time in the midfield, I wouldn't take any flanker in the top 10. I do think Ainsworth can play quality minutes in the midfield, so he should go in the first 10

Agree with all your points..except Ainsworth's sound kicking technique :p

For me (from Cal Twomey's Draft Pool) - in order of preference;

Tim Tarranto (need more goal kicking Mids)
Jarrod Berry (Developed as a direct replacement for Simmo)
Jack Maibaum (Groomed for at full back - especially if Weiters is used Fwd)
Patrick Kerr (Another Fwd option)

There is also Simpkin.
If we get Pickett may not need Ainsworth as much as Taranto

Which out of the top 10 would be ready to start round #1 in the senior team?

It does partially depend on who drafts each player as well.

Brodie, Ainsworth, McCluggage, Taranto - Those are the most obvious picks to get an early game. Clarke could be a sneaky chance depending on where he goes.

Ainsworth appears to not have "it" that will make him a successful AFL player. Read somewhere that in his interviews at the camp when asked if he'd move into the midfield at AFL level he was none too keen on the idea, seemed really dismissal of it.

Wouldn't risk a top 10 pick if that was true
