This is where we have learned, I feel. Learned the hard away admittedly, but we do seem to have learned.
Having said that though, players do need the right environment to thrive in and we just couldn't put that together at the club.
We've largely taken that out of the hands of the older statesmen of the club and priming the young guys to embrace and pass on the new club culture.
It's still going to take a little time though but it looks as though it has a good chance to come about.
The environment these draftees are bought into is critical to there development, can not be understated.
It looks like the club has finally embraced the National Draft, with talk that we may have traded pick 5 this year,
I was starting to really worry that last year was just a one off and that we still hadn't worked it out.
So we look to be doing it the right way this time, building through the draft, getting picks in the right range for the respective draft and having a focus on bringing in more young high end talent from other clubs.
SOS could have potentially help fix some massive drafting wholes in our list from the 2011 draft on wards.
Players like Sumner Lamb Plowman Marchbank and Pickett are all high end talents from drafts that Rogers and Hughes have absolutely butchered.
Really excited about this years group of draftees, think we will get a elite prospect with pick 5 and some very good players with the other 5 picks.
