Kerr getting a sub 3 second 20m sprint is pretty impressive, good height, elite speed and smarts = v handy forward.

So torn on wanting him at 25 or hoping he slips to our next pick...

With the sub 3 20m, I can't see him lasting past the early 30s at the latest.
And we do need help kicking a score! I'm a best available advocate. if that's a tall then, happy days. A bit of romance attached to Kerr as well. Builds on the SOSOS factor from last year a little.

Just over a week to go, times going way to slow..

you would have killed an extra nano-second if you'd typed 'too' correctly.............fmd.............

Ok anyone seen back to the future? You know when doc slips and hits his head on the toilet bowl?
I had a gym slip in change room, middle of tiled floor my face lands flat down almost face plant and there is a small circular drain right in front of my eyes are the letters SPS!
Welcome to Carlton SPS!

Pick 5 we will pick up a ripper - I'm not worried about that selection.

I hope with 25 we can shake loose one of the GWS Academy kids (Macreadie, Sproule, Mutch, Cumming). I think all of these kids have enormous potential and we have a chance at 'stealing' one of these kids because of GWS potentially losing picks and possibly being unwilling to go into a deficit of points. That and I believe they will be 'best available' talent around our second pick.

Macreadie or Sproule would allow us much flexibility in sending Marchbank or Weitering forward if required.
Isaac Cumming would slot nicely into the vacated Tuohy position.
Mutch seems like a great prospect. Finds a fair bit of the ball and moves pretty well in traffic in my opinion. He's going under the radar on our board a bit.

I'm very keen on all of them

I like Atley but I think he's a decent chance to get through to one of our later picks. Very much a no frills kind of player.
Except that he showed every kind of frill you could want from a inside mid? In fact that does him a disservice: he's a balanced mid who has the body to play inside.

Geelong or North will snap him up in the 30s if we don't take him. I'm even wary that Geelong might take him at 24.

When is GWS going to lose picks? Surely if it happens it has to happen soon

Didn't they rush out our 2002 penalties a day before the draft? Bet they won't be in a rush for GWS though. Hell, the Whitfield suspension is probably considered enough by the AFL.

Agree totalely BBB not concerned about pick 5 selection he will be a very good player for a long time , it's very exciting but not a problem, it's pick 24/25 pending GWS penilties is the vital one to get right and a speculative that the 3round , our past efforts have been mediocre to say the least.
I like all the players mentioned and I'd add Perryman too if things fall our way as a possibility, any one of them would be a great addition.
Go Baggers

Exactly, SOS and co need to nail the second and third round selections.
I think we have been way more successful with our rookie picks.
Let's hope that we nail this draft and also once we bring these kids in, we have the ability to develope them.
We will not know in the interim but about 24 months down the track the results are going to be telling.
