By what a few mm?? Still a bit off 6ft which is small these days as the generations all get taller.

183cm is 6ft flat.
If you know the conversion, why say 181cm is "5ft 10 ish"?
Why not say 6ft ish?

We need all types of players, We can't just have big bodied mids in the middle or we will get killed on the spread (which we repeatedly do). I think we can get a good big bodied player with our second. Taranto won't be available, I'd rather we take the talent when we can.

AFL Commision can meet till 2 o'clock in the morning of the day of the 2002 Draft to ream us - but a "bit too hard" to ream their own love child.

And don't get me started on the utter disgrace of the AFL rewarding Essendon with number 1 draft pick by virtue of this years player penalties - this is also a downright flowering disgrace.

Love it. Living up to your user name.

Kerr at 50 is worthwhile. At 25 with our needs, a little risky.
Who do you like at 25 who is realistically available?

I think Willem would be a great get - imagine what he could learn of Cripps!

Shai Bolton is a player that could be in and around that pick that is available, but I would hope if we snag SPS that we wouldn't need a player like Shai.

Clarke, Fisher and Mutch would be better selections at 25.

my preference would be anyone out of Ainsworth, McGrath, mcluggage or Taranto
Would be happy with Brodie, scrimshaw or Haywood but For some unknown reason I will be disappointed if we take SPS

Would be very happy if we selected Drew. Very underrated IMO.

Still have a feeling that Scott Clayton will find it hard passing up on SPS. Reckon McLuggage could be ours.

1. McGrath
2. Taranto
3. Ainsworth
4. SPS
5. McLuggage
If McGluggage somehow fell to us i will celebrate like we just won the premiership

Interesting that Brodie has slipped in people's perceptions. Talked as No.1, was injured late in the year so didn't perform at his best. Still a very solid prospect who is a less risky option than SPS. The thing a like about Brodie is that he can take marks around the ground, I think that's his point of difference as a mid.. and his leadership qualities.

Picking Brodie at 5 allows us to be more risky at pick 25 with a Fisher, Bolton or Cox type. I'd be feeling anxious if our first 2 picks were used on WA kids.

I really like Zac Fisher at pick 25. He is a left footer, who finds plenty of the ball, is very clean with ball handling and disposal, and can kick goals. Reminds me of a young Zac Merrett.

I'm still on the Brodie bandwagon!

Do U have any idea how may questions this raises without you telling us why?

Either Kerr or Drew are popular choices for our second pick. Both with Carlton family connections. Really hope we are looking deeper than that.

According to Twomey and Anderson, we are either a very 1 dimensional club still, or it was just easy for them to place these players at us to help mold their draft(which all phantomers do)

Anderson has SOS bidding on 2 GWS players, and getting Gleesons nephew and Kerr's grandson.

Drew, to me, looks very vanilla and matches the mold of our past 10 years of recruits. Outclassed at AFL level.

I'd rather get rid of Gleeson(beyond time) than recruit his average nephew with a pick in the 20's.

Lucky these are only Phantoms(besides SPS:))...from my POV

Because he has an opinion that differs with your own so you ask for an essay clarifying why?

Everyone has an opinion as to who they want and your pick or wanted kid is no different to anyone else opinion wise so do not berate others cause it goes against your own personal thoughts.

Don't need an essay but prioritising Hayward over SPS certainly requires some reasoning.

Cause he has a personal opinion that is against the norm or against the most vocal posters norm??

That is what forums are about and he just mentioned he would be disappointed if we took SPS and we do not all think the same regarding evaluating kids at draft time.

All well and good having a divergent opinion but if you can't support it then what's the point?

Because this is not a court of law and everyone is free to have a say within the boards rules on a public forum.

Not many people like to comment with a personal opinion that will disagree with the masses/most vocal and create a conflict which is not needed, so just respect what someone else thinks and move on while leaving us to deal with trolls or fake supporters and/or people that deliberately post to upset people.

Are you his lawyer?

The board is impartial and a chain of thought for all supporters to have a say, if you don't like people having an opinion different to your own do not bully them asking for reasoning behind their own personal opinion while knowing other posters will back you who are also vocal.

We cater for all types here and ALL Carlton supporters while a pack mentality will not be tolerated cause someone posts something the pack do not agree with.

If McLuggage slips to us I will laugh like a madman for about a week straight.

I agree but he will not!

Hence he is out out of all my players to discuss!

Obviously.

If you have an opinion that differs from the majority then that's a perfect opportunity to argue your point. Anything else is just shooting blanks and posting for the sake of posting.
