We already have a young, talented back line. We've spent some early draft picks on talented forwards last year. If we can spend a couple of top draft picks on talented mids this year and next as well as choose wisely with our later picks we will be able to compete with them. I'd certainly rather we do that than to wave the white flag for the next 10 years.

We have the framework of a solid defence but are still missing at least one key defender of size and bulk for now and another one for the future.

We may have some talented forwards on the list but most of them are unproven at this stage. Added to that, we have no genuine key position forwards who can take a strong mark AND kick accurately for goal. Therefore, we need to pick up at least one more big gorilla and put our trust in McKay making the grade.

As for the mids, we are well short of class & poise in the clinches, our numbers are just too thin right now. Again, we need to add at least 3-4 top shelf big bodied players to help fill out the midfield platoon.

Therefore, we have a hell of a lot of work to do with the draft & trades over the next two-years so no particular segment of the list should be overlooked or neglected. The panel-beating job that SOS & Bolton did in the recent off-season only just scratched the surface.

Loved her accent. The whole Logan's Run idea was great. I even liked the short lived series.

Anyway, can't fit this into a draft theme so moving on.
Yeah, have it and the movie on DVD. Not really a SF nerd unless it's of the family friendly (Jenny Agutter's modest nude scene aside) Space Opera variety. I'm more into classic horror (The Haunting, The Innocents, The Changeling, etc).

Anyway, back to football... I like the sound of Jack Scrimshaw, good kick, left footer who gets a bit of the football. He could play as a tall wingman.

I wonder if there would be any chance of Daic's boy doing something stupid just before his draft that makes Collingwood not want to pick him :D

Known to be a massive Blues fan and outed his dad as a closet Blues fan on live TV IIRC... would bid on him just for shits and giggles :D

We can pick up the big bodied defender and forward with later picks. They don't necessarily have to be a top 10 dp. Gun inside mids are very difficult to get from the draft though. They usually always go top 10.

Really ??

Jacob Weitering went at #1, Buddy Franklin was somewhere in the Top 10.

Where was Rory Sloane drafted ??

You are making me look like an expert with the amount of crap you peddle and that is really saying something.

All opinions, camel-guy.

You giving one example the other direction proves very little - similarly I could say Judd went at 3, Murphy at 1, where was Rowe drafted?

But what would the point in that be, except to belittle you?

In summary. More top-end players come out of the first round but players beyond that ocassionally excell. Father/Son talents can significantly help

Whilst he doesn't get much of the footy, Todd Marshall has some serious talent. 198cm key position forward who has some tricks. Kicks well on both feet and pretty athletic.

A pick up off his toes at full tilt showed that up yesterday.
Ball didn't follow him but he was dangerous

Haven't seen yesterdays games yet, but some of the things he did at Etihad Stadium were pretty good.
He has presence even when the ball isn't at his end of the ground.
Kerr showed up similarly and even though Battle did well for a half, I'd take the others before him on yesterday's showing.

I really like Kerr as well, but I suspect should we keep our first round pick we'll go for a midfielder.

Really hope we take Kerr I reckon he could slide maybe a early 2nd rounder

Still though I couldn't help but enjoy the work of Andrew Bluey McGrath

Smart player that thinks things out before he has ball in hand.
Not a particularly prominent game yesterday, but some of his quick handballs were very creative.

Can he go through the middle? Reminds me a little of Z.Merrett.

HUN reporting today that Daicos's son is no certainty to join the Filth as Gavin Brown's son is eligible as well this year.

They don't have a 1st round selection & may be forced to trade in extra picks or go into points deficit to secure both.

Tell you what is really saying something, the amount of times you play the man and the amount of times I have to bring it to your attention.

We are all entitled to our opinions and yours is NOT the only one that counts!

Is he any good though? Don't really follow the draftees.

Some other team bids a first on Browns son... we bid a second on Daics boy and there goes their first for next year as well.
