Just on Steele have heard that people who work at champion data are saying this kid could be a future super star.
He doesn't get to play on ball that much due to the strength and depth of GWS midfield, but they say the numbers his putting up while playing on ball are off the chart absolutely racks up contested possession.
GWS probably not fazed by him leaving as they have Hopper Kennedy and now Settlefield who all have a similar game

Truly amazing the talent GWS have at their disposal.

Marchbank is the reason behind GWS asking for our first rounder. Take him out of it and offer up just our second rounder for Tomlinson and Steele and it would be a good deal.

Agreed. Though they may not want to deal with us for piddly second rounders with the new list management team there. Will rely on the players nominating us.

If we could reel in Tomlinson & Steele for a second rounder, we should consider leaving it at that.
Stewart comes along compensatory for the grief GWS bestowed upon us last year..........Let's shake on it.

although i think its unlikely that gibbs would be traded i would be surprised if anything is off the table. sos is about improving the list and if an offer for gibbs (or even kruezer) came through that would benefit us going forward i reckon he would do it.

i still think sos will do some deals that will surprise all of us
Gibbs would have to agree to any trade, as he is contracted. Gibbs has said all along he wants to be a one club player. You need to look elsewhere for tradable commodities.

We are in a pretty good spot already. Sanderson says the draft is strong to about 40.
Current draft order has our third rounder at 41. Assuming we drop down the ladder further that means our first three picks are in range of getting quality, in theory anyhow.
Obviously a lot can change but I'm sure SOS knows where we stand right now.
If we can get another pick inside 40 for Casboult that would be good. Not sure Everitt would get us a pick in that range. Tuohy would for sure but not sure club would trade him??

True, Voss forced Bradshaw out through a trade. Is that the road you want us to go down?

please dont twist my meaning. like i said i am open to anything and i think sos will do any deal that advances the list. i expect some surprises come trade period and some tough decisions to be made. no one should be off the table for the right deal. this is about the club not individuals

wouldnt surprise me at all for sos to do deals to get a number of picks between 25-45. there is always some gold there. its just about picking the right players

I think that's fair enough.

Indicative draft order: Giants, Suns set for 2016 draft windfall

I still feel GWS will go after some ready-to-go players this year.
They may well grab 2 or 3 key draftees but some of those picks will surely be up for offer.
They'll be after a ruckman and then..........They don't really need anything else. Maybe another key back-man? What a position to be in.

How is that twisting your meaning? Seems you were pretty clearly talking about forcing players out of the club who want to be there. I just provided an example of how doing so can go very badly for a club

where did i say force someone out? I also said gibbs going is highly unlikely but im not ruling anything out

Think another high quality small forward would be on there list of needs.
They have Devon Smith who is a gun, but not much in the way of back up.

jarrod pickett is talented and their mids are very good at going forward and kicking goals. greene kelly conignlio whitfield just to name a few. very dangerous

I'm a fan of Steele, Tomlinson and Marchbank, so I don't mind the trade to be honest. It improves our list profile age wise.

I think for one or two picks, we're having three roles of the dice. Steele as a jnr looked as good as those ranked 5+ in this draft. Marchbank would have been top 2 or 3 defenders in this draft. Tomlinson, top 3 or 4 talls from this draft.

Age shmage !!

Do they honestly bring something to our list that we don't already have ??

Are they sufficiently talented enough to warrant being traded for ??

How much potential upside do they have ??

If you can answer those questions then you will be able to work out whether they are worth trading for. My immediate feel is that Steele would be a good get but the other two not.
