The problem with this sort of player is that they are icing on a cake, not the cake itself. A lot of talented flankers, goal kickers, x factor players stagnate when the bones of a side is a long way from being completed. The one thing SPS can do that Menzel and Yarran couldn't is play in the midfield. He won't help with out contested ball or clearances though.
So is he the cake or the icing.....a bit of both....or neither of?
(Note smiley face)Watched SPS pretty close the other day and even though it wasn't a highlight performance, his work on the outside of stoppages was impressive.
The talent is clear and should he be there at our pick, I can see us reading his name out pretty quickly even though we may need the inside mid first.
