Brisbane have beaten us 3 times out of 4.Gil seems to be happy to hand over a priority pick to Brisbane.
Reckon it will likely be a first unless some really get wound up by it. They better.
Surely they don't have the worst list in the competition.

I tolds youse all, he is going to be okay.
Freo need some tall timber down the spine especially as Pav is now gone.
True enough. I think they will certainly get a priority pick based on what they have (or have not) achieved in the past few years in addition to the AFL dialogue on the matter. I am happy for them to pick up a pick just as long as it isnt pick 1 or 2. Start of the 2nd round would be fine, I dont think we will be that disadvantaged having our 2nd rounder slide down one spot. Not sure the AFL could justify giving a first round priority pick to a club that didn't finish last...

They will get Hogan and McCarthy I reckon so I dont think this will be a priority when they get to the draft. They will have to give up their 1st rounder for Hogan so I think it will be more a matter of what Melbourne needs, and they will most certainly need to replace Hogan.I tolds youse all, he is going to be okay.

Not as bad as brother Hamish "We'll win 17 gold"; ended up with 8.I am starting to think Gil is losing the battle and is resorting to BS to save face and hide his errors.
Our second rounder should grow a few spots anyway if teams bid on academy players where expected.
Only Bowes is a chance to get bid on prior to GCS pick, and matching it will gobble up their pick 4.
"Second rounder".
They have 3 academy prospects in the top 30, and 5 picks in the top 25."Second rounder".
Tooblue was talking about our second rounder possibly moving up if there are early academy bids, not our first.Come again?
GC's pick 9 can virtually pay for an entire bid at 5, with their pick 21 shifting down two positions to pick 23, meanwhile their pick 22 becomes pick 21.I'll make it a bit easier. Harry perryman -GWS. Should get an early bid. Knightmare has him top 4. This will cost GWS probably their first and second if that happens. Moving us up 1. Not to mention will setterfield going early too for GWS.
Jack Bowes GC. If it doesn't cost their first rounder at pick 4 it could force one of their seconds if it lines up that way giving us another position of it takes more than one. And it should.
Brad sheer (GC) first round and Kony Mutch (GWS) first round
That's probably all the first round quality.
Saw him in a couple of champ matches. Looked a good player. But I thought he was a bit skinny to drop straight into the AFL. But that could change in a pre-season.Willem Drew was a name that I read somewhere in a recent review that sounded like he was a bloke on a serious mission, hasn't got the hype or plaudits as some of the others but is shaping as one that may be a very handy pick-ups.
Caveat - I haven't seen any footage of him playing, just read some stuff on him.

I think thats him... the bigger boys were brushing him off... but he could nail and stick a tackle. Thats one of the reasons I like Worpel for 2017... he played this year as an under-ager... and he was smashing them in tackles. Another 12 months and I reckon he is going to be very dangerous! Is he the guy that's the tackling machine?
If so, then sounds like he might play ok even if skinny (sometimes intent counts for as much as size) and then could be a real handful after a couple of pre-seasons.

is marchbank a true key defender? listed as 193cm. haven't seen much of him so not sure. a lot of people seem to be raving about him. hope he's worth it
Are we talking about Drew or Worpel?

Worpel is why I am saying we need to trade into the first round next year!
