I do. Maybe SOS does too. Who knows?

Maybe he has plans to nab Venables with the returning 15 from GWS(if that happens) before * get the PEGS kid at 19.

Maybe someone likes him still as a Top 10.

Personally, i think Venables potential is enormous at AFL level. I just find it hard to place him because his output nowhere nears his potential.

If you were an actual head recruiter, he could be a reputation maker....or breaker.

I have big doubts it will be used. People are stressing out over pick 5 unnecessarily imo. SOS will be able to get the job done without it but if the offer is very good then he may well leverage that pick for a package.

Yes. If he can find the ball and stay healthy he could be the best player in the draft. Explosive and clutch.

there could be a lot to play out in final draft order yet , up here there is a quiet expectation that Lions will bid on Jack Bowes at 2 forcing GC to jump in on him, this might trigger GC to also go looking for trade with Dons for pick 1 , they already have 4,8,21,22,24 and will likely grab at least another 1st rounder ..

TW is right, because it takes Bowes out of consideration for GC's first pick. That's the idea.
That way they possibly pick up McCluggage and still get Bowes with points and take in Hanley, also.

And remember, Brisbane hold the whip hand because they have what GC desperately want. Pick 2 which they let GC know will be bid on Bowes, and a ready made midfielder.

But whatever the deal actually looks like, i wouldn't be a bit surprised to see GC with that Pick 2. 99% Essendon won't bid on Bowes.

yeah agree on paper it works really good for both , i suppose it up to whether they want to play nice with each other..

I found this part about Sean Darcy hilarious:

"Sean boards at Xavier so he's been a difficult one for us to manage in terms of access, but he's a fantastic kid. He put in a reasonable pre-season with us and we dropped about 12 kilos off him. He needs to drop about 12 more but that can be hard to do when you're living in a boarding house."

It's been a while since I was there, but the boarding houses are right next to three ovals and a pool/gym/track facility. He's just lazy when unsupervised.
