SPS looks similar to Murphy, undersized for an inside mid, good kicking vision and execution, good pace.

they can go home all they like as long as we get our fair trade for themim no u/18 expert. but from the 3 names weve been linked with, ill be very happy with either of them. i think SPS is a more of risk/higher reward type of selection, but one id be comfortable taking.
SPS or brodie for me if both are available @ 5.
with our WA boys on board, id be confident that the go home factor would be very small.
Can play.Marc Murphy is not the prototype midfielder anymore. Not big or strong enough.

Not sure that's a good thing.

I'd even go futher and say it makes or breaks the build of a team. So often the difference between a contender and premiership team is the output of your 'role' players and the overall depth of your list.
Getting the most out of later draft/rookie picks and speculative trades/DFAs/ PSDs makes a huge difference.
Our Ratten era team had some of the best top-end talent in the league but we couldn't get much out of lesser lights.
He never was the prototype midfielder; he's just an outstanding player. Not sure that's a good thing.

One would say that the Hawks have had a pretty awesome environment of late. That didn't stop Hill requesting a trade back to WA. Sometimes players just want to leave for family/friends/location reasons which will always be a risk, esp with interstate kids.
What's a flag?If players want to leave after a flag then I'm fine with that, just get the flag first.
pick 70:
Was mentioned as a rookie chance by Cal and Nat - a skinny kid who could replace Jones and Gorringe up forward.
Hope the club has said proper goodbyes to IKON park if so... because i'd be burning the place down.Ive heard we will be picking a key forward at 5.

It was about 2007/8 when he had bulked up considerably. Express he was cut down with shoulder/collarbone injuries for going in hard and hodge and Dangerfield murdering him with bumps. Injury hasn't allowed him to get back to that. Maybe 2018.If Murphy had the body of JPK or Cripps he would be an absolute beast. I'm talking Judd circa '06 levels of domination.
