the tit for tat argument is predicated on clubs allowing emotion to override their rating for the player. for me its about the player ie if next years lions have a gun then sun should bid on him regardless of whats previously happened previously.
so lions leave themselves open to being stitched up next year.
I think you've sort of answered your own question there harris.. it wouldn't surprise me if Lions and Suns have reached an "agreement" not to raid each other's Academies.Yes, totally amounts to draft tampering but would sit in the lower range of actions in what is the cesspool of corruption, back room deals and secret handshakes that make up the AFL. Now that's my darker side of thinking coming out. It could also be they rate Ainsworth/McCluggage higher and don't want to risk missing out.
