Are you saying Sam has problems with the law and breaking into homes beating people up and bashing his Mrs but can play football?
Is this what you're insinuating?
I'm finding this indigenous generalization rather offputting but if you know something we don't know please let the club know about it!
Fancy bringing up those kinds of psychological profiles.
As we know Albert was a gun footballer who didn't have other aspects of his life together.
But why are you comparing him to sps? That's uncalled for imho

It's one thing to say indigenous lads tend to have exquisite skills but what this guy is saying is in a different ball park sadly

Game Day!

Today we will add 5-6 very talented kids and another 3-4 on Monday added to Marchbank Pickett Palmer. New look and exciting Carlton in 2017

Way I see it this off season in addition to Smedts, Palmer, pick 26 etc, we also have picks 3,5,6.

We've taken two of those picks already so our top end haul looks like...

3 Pickett
5
6 Marchbank

Was up all night praying that the Cheats bid on Setterfield and unleash a lion amongst the pigeons.

Not one reputable phantom drafter is calling it however, even though some do rate Setterfield as the best prospect in the draft.

But I have promised He Above that I will stop using his name in vain if he listens to said prayers, so I live in hope.

I have been reading this draft thread avidly but am way too much of an ignoramus to give a weighty opinion on anything to do with it (I know, I know, its n ever stopped me in other threads) so big shout to all you posters who have made it an enjoyable and informative read.

On the strength of what I have read on the players in this draft, it is looking like a good one for us.

Cant wait til tonight.

so my dream scenario is then

3. Pickett
5. Taranto/Scrimshaw
6. Marchbank
7. Palmer
25. Ridley/Clarke
48. Fisher
62. Poholke
65. LeBois
69. Duman

;)

There was a rumour previously that we are big fans of Fisher. I wouldn't be opposed to him with our 2nd despite his small stature

I don't think Pickett would have been in this years top 5.
Not even sure how he was taken before marchbank. Marchbank even fell from the skies that day.
But I do see two very good footballers to add to what we will pick up today.
Mind you, I think Palmer will be very, very handy and a good pick up!

All of my opinions are weighty.

I blame all the donuts I have been eating recently.

I agree Palmer will be very useful for us. Hard body knows how to win the ball at contests, add that to BG and PC.

Spoke to Brett Anderson, SEN Draft Expert, a little while ago who was kind enough to take my call off air.

Me: Will GWS be able to into deficit (using points from next years ND picks) to match bids on their academy players, given potential draft penalties pending for next year???

BA: It's a very good question to which I don't have a definitive answer for, but I suspect GWS were given a "heads-up" not to trade picks 15 & 37 for this year.

Me: Who will you be speaking to when you arrive in Sydney later this morning to find out???

BA: Gillon McLachlan or Mark Evans as Andrew Dillon is unlikely to be there. I'll be definitely doing some investigation when I get up there though.

Me: How many of the Academy boys do you think GWS will draft???

BA: Assuming that Essendon don't bid on Setterfield at #1, Setterfield, Perryman, Cumming & I think GWS may have made some commitment to Macreadie when they moved him to Sydney. Of course it depends where the bids come in, e.g. there's a rumour that Sydney may bid on Cumming with either #9 or #19. I think that Mutch gets to the open draft, Sproule gets to the open draft....and as do most if not all of the others. It will become very interesting though if they're unable to go into deficit and bids come early.

Me: How strong are the Phantom Drafts this year as to who you think will go where???

BA: Well for once the clubs are keeping their cards close to their chest. While Essendon will take either McGrath or McCluggage, with GWS it's much less clear. You could make a case for Taranto, Petrevski-Seton, McCluggage, McGrath, Ainsworth or even Bowes. Taranto could go as early as #2 or as late as #9. Whoever Essendon and more importantly GWS take at #2 will determine how the rest fall. Last year was easy because we had a full-blown rehearsal with the introduction of the new system so we knew who everyone was taking all the way out to #30 by the middle of the day.

Me: Know you're on the way to the airport so thanks for taking the call.

BA: Anytime and only too happy to answer peoples questions. Will definitely check out the "lay of the land" on your first question.

Good bloke Brett. Probably one of his busiest days of the year where everyone wants a piece of his time and he still found time to take my call off air on his way to the airport. Let's hope he gets a scoop on something no one else has asked about. :thumbsu:
