Are Sydney into him, as has been suggested by Quayle?

Sydney I believe are considering with their first pick if Simpkin (who appeared their primary target with that first choice isn't there).

Whether they favour Will Brodie over Cumming I do not know. But it could be down to those two for Sydney with that choice.

Can you see Cumming becoming a midfielder?

Probably the vision of Adelaide given the clubs interest and glut of back flankers.

He is more a back flanker at this stage who I'd be more inclined to predict pushes up more so onto a wing than through the middle given his strengths are more skills/run rather than contested/grunt which is something he can do more so than what you would look to him for.

I wonder if they have a different structure than the AFL where there not so beholding to the overlords. All that Foxtel money obviously has a big effect on AFL teams which don't want to bite the hand that feeds.

Interesting to see how that unfolds if it were to happen. I wonder if a deficit could be applied to picks they trade in, which they'll no doubt do, seeing as they have 2 players in their academy who are tipped to go top 5 at this stage (obviously a lot can happen in a year).

Also while I'm here.

It's likely been mentioned already but Adelaide are red hot on Cumming and are believed likely to place a bid on him if there and no notable slider such as Will Brodie (who looks likely likely to join one of Sydney or North Melbourne).

GWS probably match the bid, but with Perryman likely being bid on by North Melbourne, GWS may be forced to think.

With McGrath expected to go pick 1 to Essendon and with GWS as a result not getting their back flanker with their first choice, that will be their reason for matching bids for Cumming. Or so I understand.

Isn't perryman a back flanker too?

I actually think Knightmares final draft is so far off the mark, it's actually gone backwards from earlier attempts .......unlike other years no-one this year has much of a clue, so the plagerized Phantoms are suffering accordingly
