Sounds like David Mackay. Just the sort of person we like. Good at training, top bloke, preparation awards, can play tons of positions.

:p
Mate he is so unlike Mookay it's not even funny, they don't come much harder at the contest and man than Jarrod.

Nearly every home game he's played for the last 2 years and a couple of others in Central/Western Victoria also

Do his combine results translate to on field performance? Liking that he's a bigger size for a midfielder too, assuming that's where he ends up in the AFL.

Had too many injuries to really shine this year so hard to tell how good he could have been

Can play in all 3 zones of the ground which is handy

Started slowly this year after issues with his shoulder surgery in the off season and a limited pre-season, then had a few niggles early in the year, once up to speed he was back to his dominant self icluding 4 games in the midfield. Unfortunately with his manic attack on the football in the first final at the Box Hill Oval he copped a badly bruised kidney in the 1st quarter that saw him in the Box Hill Hospital for 5 days pissing blood etc, IMO he was the difference between the Rebels not winning the Premiership when he went down and was unable to play in the remaining finals. So believe me he went into that All Stars game off virtually no training in the weeks leading up and it's testament to his courage and professionalism that after all these setbacks he was still able to blitz the Combine in a far from ideal preparation.

Bicks and Jeffcrowe .....watching Josh Battle .....192cm quick big bloke being predominantly played as a Jack Darling type ......but apparently has excellent 3km times

Midfield possibility?

Maybe but I think it's more like Jeffcrowe has him about right with a comparison to Tommy Lynch, bit quicker though. Matthew Lloyd has been mentoring him the last 2 years so by that probably projecting more as a forward.

Thanks for the insight mate. Must say, I'm liking his blend of size, athleticism and skills.

In my usual way, I have perused a couple web pages for 5 minutes and have now decided with cold hearted reasoning it is Berry or nothing.
Well in my usual way I've scanned through the draft thread and based on your comments I too have decided that Berry is the one

He's originally from Horsham but has been boarding at Clarendon College for the last 2 years to give himself the best chance to pursue his football dreams of playing AFL, very focused young man. Younger brother Tommy goes alright too co-captained the Vic Country U16's at the Championships with Billy Brownless's son.

All jokes aside, at pick 13 I want talent and attitude. Lever is the barometer - talent, an insane willingness to do what it takes to win, and a leader.

Berry does seem to be that type. If his injuries mean he has slipped then like Lever, he seems a good choice.

I think with Berry's combine and his body of work over the 2 years, he jumps back into the top 10 (prob started the year top 5) and may be gone by our pick. GC with a bunch of early picks and desperately needing good character and leadership, I expect they'll take him.

Said the same myself earlier, Eade should be all over him for what he brings to the table with Leadership, Character and focus, something they've been lacking big time right from their inception, does football pretty bloody well too. Been living away from home for 2 years with the single purpose of getting on an AFL list which points to maturity so don't think the "go home" factor will be a major factor either.

So Port have traded out of the top 10, meaning we pick b4 them :)
So port go on a recruiting spree getting the missing pieces in Ryder and then Dixon last year, and now have traded out next years first and downgraded their pick 9 to get four top 31 picks this year.

So are they going for the flag or rebuilding?
