The gamble is that those 2 DON'T become midfielders. Hayward himself has said he sees himself as a 3rd tall.

True - as long as he becomes a gun player it doesn't matter too much

I like Gallucci, so I'm happy with that. Ratougolea is an interesting one, looks like a good development type KPF, raw but great size, athletic and strong comtested mark.

Judging by Anderson and Twomey there, 1st 6 appear reasonably set, but after that it's a crap shoot as Gold Coast have so many picks, hard to work out who they rate higher. Essendon could still throw a spanner in the works and select McLuggage.

I've watched him live in person on 3 occasions in the last 2 years of watching TAC games, taking particular notice of him because of his relatively "high" profile and I found him underwhelming on every occasion. The only attribute I've seen on a football field that sets him apart is his speed IMO, found his kicking to be inconsistent and I would add he's not overly big and standing close to him at the half time huddles I can't see too much more physical development in him, already very toned and muscular.

100 percent correct. Also I believe every other team picked a 17 year old as well that year and not one played a single game.

Geezus this whole idea we picked the wrong one is just so stupid. Pick #75 and you get 154 games out of the man and still people say he was a wrong choice. Amazing stuff! That is some of the BEST drafting a club and its fans could ever want. As Vader posted if time travel existed and we knew Pavlich was going to develop the way he did, logically he would have been the choice. This is the key FACT: At the time of the draft, Ken McGregor was by far the BETTER player. Deal with it people. Also, Yippett would have been traded to the Lions.
Pavlich had a great career no doubt but what we should be rejoicing about is 2 young lads from the same club went on to be drafted and have great careers.

Same as Dal and Radar, both fine players as you pointed out. You and few of us older blokes have it right, I just felt compelled to make it very clear to those that can not see past their noses.

Weren't Pav & McGregor both coming off broken legs?

Not right to say one was clearly better than the other. McG was further ahead in his rehab if memory serves too

After Tom Doedee, they are just taken with a grain of salt now. Have no idea who we will draft. Someone obscure i'm sure.
