Grand Final on October 1. Last time that happened it was one hell of a day. Omen?

Dangerfield will play the role of Bartel with three goals.

Scott Selwood will play the role of Ling in demolishing the opposition's star midfielder.

Stanley and Smith will play the role of Ottens giving the mids first use.

And Tom Hawkins will play the role of Tom Hawkins and win us a premiership.

Apologies if it has already been mentioned,Rnd 18 versus Adelaide at Simmonds Stadium has the potential to be a very important match for the club and a couple of players - Jimmy in line to play game #300 and Boris in line to play game #326 (if they miss no matches during the season).

Obviously a few other milestones for next year also - Rnd 12 vs North could be Motlop's 100th match, while Guthrie will have to wait until we return from the bye in Rnd 16 against the Swans to play #100 with Mackie set to play #250 the same match, and then Rnd 21 against Richmond could see game #200 for H. Taylor
Some great milestones coming up indeed, Cats! Thanks for researching all that!

A bit of Trivia. We have played Collingwood on or about the 19th May for 25 years.
I wonder why that is.... always play them around my birthday

Bloody ruined it in 2008

Don't forget Menzel didn't even play in that game for us so he adds another 3+ goals! :D

ADELAIDE faces the toughest draw in 2016, based on the simple formula of tallying the number of wins its opponents next year managed in 2015.

At the other end of the scale, Geelong and Essendon hit the jackpot with seemingly easier draws.

Adelaide's 2016 opponents won 251 games combined in 2015, with Geelong and Essendon's opponents next season winning a total of 232 and 229 games respectively in 2015.

North Melbourne, Hawthorn, Richmond and West Coast all have tough draws too based on this formula, but their road to the finals is similar to Greater Western Sydney and Collingwood, who both missed finals in 2015.

Because the Crows won their first final in 2015, they jumped into the top six, meaning they were drawn to play top-six teams three times in 2016.

The Crows therefore play West Coast, Fremantle and North Melbourne twice in 2016 as well as return bouts against the reasonably performed Collingwood and Port Adelaide.

By contrast Geelong only plays one team from the top six next season – Adelaide – twice, as well as return fixtures against the Western Bulldogs, Greater Western Sydney, Essendon and the Brisbane Lions.

After finishing 15th in 2015, Essendon is the only team that does not play a top-six team from 2015 twice next season.

TEAMS COMBINED WINS IN 2015*
Adelaide 251
North Melbourne 247
Hawthorn 246
GWS 244
Collingwood 241
Richmond 240
West Coast 239
Brisbane Lions 238
Sydney Swans 238
Western Bulldogs 238
Fremantle 236
Gold Coast
236
Melbourne 236
Carlton 233
Port Adelaide 233
St Kilda 233
Geelong 232
Essendon 229

*Combined wins in 2015 of each club's 2016 opponents.

Surprised to see WCE and a Freo down towards the bottom, using this method. And why do the bottom teams play top 6 teams twice? Why not have Freo and WCE suck up another game apiece?
Pffft. Bloody amateurs. I reckon one of us could do a better job with the fixture. And an unbiassed one as well! ;)

Geelong plays Carlton, GC, Brisbane, Essendon and Melbourne twice. Hawthorn, WCE, Freemantle, Sydney and Collingwood all play us at KP.

I wasn't worried about our draw- I was feeling sorry for the bottom teams playing the top teams twice- though I guess too much manipulation of the fixture will skew it even further, won't it?
